Nawaz haters,

BMW's Armored vehicle are best in the world. Even India gave up bulletproof Ambassadors in it's favour.

This is not a vanity purchase like you people are implying.

It is vanity when the price tag is $350K and the govt is charging the exchequer $2.2 million. What is with Indians now supporting Nooras? I'm onto you.

The PM has good choice!! that's for sure

So NAWAZ couldn't stand General's driving BMW's. Had to order one for itself :D

han Arush bhai,,, Kaya bakwas farma rahay thay app ?
Your Generals Drive Bmw's? How much do they earn?

You get what you pay for and value for money of these vehicles is apparent from the fact that nearly every head of state uses them.

If you want to save money, Probably you should buy from Misri Shah scrap market. You pay peanuts, you get monkeys.

Are you blind? Or are you a dumb? Cant you see the discrepancy between $350K and $1.1 million?

Idiot.

Local bullet-proofing is available but I don't think its available from car manufacturers. And to what extent that bullet proofing is effective is also a question. Case in Point, Ch Aslam's car also had the bullet proofing but the post blast the wreckage of car spoke volumes about how effective it was against threats of greater degree.
Ch.Aslam was not in bullet proof vehicle, his vehicle had gone for maintenance....if we are in a state of.economic crisis then we better start acting.like one

The question here is not about buying one, but the price at which it was bought, my argument is that, we should.have looked at in house private firms doing the job

Anyhow, whats done is done now, no point digging up the dead

people should come out of this habit of complaining everything ..world won't see each and every Pakistani they will see some of them and build their perception about the country .those few whom the world watch should show their country n brighter light .. I have seen nature of our people .. They follow everything ..if someone builds a wondErful house then ten in that locality will start to dream to build for themselves .. There should not be boundary for dreams..

Chaudhry Aslam was in bullet-proof vehicle: DIG | PAKISTAN - geo.tv
The blast was so powerful that it hurled Aslam's bullet-proof vehicle into the air. The vehicle landed on another track of the road.

Aslam’s other vehicle, which is bomb-proof, had developed a fault a few days ago and was sent for repairs

There are different grades of bullet proofing.

If it's bullet proof, doesn't mean it can survive a 200 kg bomb attack or a tank or whatever! Your own post 43 further reaffirms my point.

A couple of companies do bullet proof cars within Pakistan...don't know much other than that.

BTW, does BMW bullet proof cars from the onset? I don't think so...I am pretty sure cars go to a third dealer for bullet proofing.

You must be a staff officer in PM's office then. Like I said before the fleet is replenished after the warranted age of vehicle expires- usually after 5 years-.

5 years only? If true, that is astonishing!!! Utterly astonishing. Where did you get that figure from if I may ask?

The COAS's car has been running for more about 10 years if memory serves me right.

The car that the COAS uses most often in public engagements is the older Mercedes in use since the Musharraf era. His recent visit to PAF Mushaf also shows the older Mercedes in use.

Although I agree that he does use the 7 series as well (actually the recently posted pic was the first time I've seen him use that).

BTW, thanks for the BMW security link.
