Nahi yaar, on the lines of 24, prison break, sherlock, POI et al

Elementary is actually a nice take on Sherlock Holmes. Watson is a Lady in this show, and Sherlock ain't so bad either. Not as awesome as the UK Sherlock series, but still pretty good!

Mainland ke baare me bhi kaafi accha reviews suna hoon.

And yeah, watch True Detective. Terrific series.

BBC usually make good shows, I really like The Apprentice & Sherlock

Da Vinci's Demons, Luther, Spooks.

Across the pond- Justified, The Shield (finished in 08), Breaking Bad (finished last year), The Unit (finished in 08), 24 (the original, AND head and shoulders above the cheap Indian copy), Cosmos (less of a fictional show, more of an exploratory science show in a different format, present day continuation of the infamous show run by the GREAT AND ONE TRUE GOD Carl Sagan).

True Detective is something you can actually call UNIQUE. Mad Men is another staple, but it can get boring for some people.
