C-130J crashes in Gwalior

Any casualties? I wonder if it can repaired if the damage is minimal or is a permenant write-off, in which case
a replacement could be ordered.

SHIT ! .... they crashed a brand new C-130 ? :hitwall:

The first C-130J of IAF came 2 years ago, but however there can be no age limit for accidents. It certainly
didn't happen due to aging equipment or anything. Freak accidents can always happen.

Any casualties?...

Two casualties, as per initial reports.

Looks bad. These are precious assets. As a consolation, it wasn't carrying a contingent of special forces when it happened.

pakistanis are maintaining some prety old machines even from 60,s......indiand should be more carefull.these r not russian.this is american
Is there any indication that it happened due to lack of maintainace, or are you simply trying to score points?

We operated our C-130Js into operations from/to areas like Daulat Beg Oldi, Uttarakhand etc. which were
conducted in far more inhospitable and dangerous environments than what PAF had ever undertaken with C-130.

Accidents can always happen. Brand new F-22 Raptors used to crash in USAF due to a multitude of
reasons.

Edit : I know of a Norwegian C-130J that crashed in 2012.

As long as crew and people are alive that would be a good news for all human beings, india can buy C-130J again. But is it confirm it is C-130J or russian transport?

2 people died in this crash, it was a C-130J.

Damn! Very unfortunate incident. I guess substandard HAL overhauling and Russian spares cannot be given as reasons this time at least.

RIP to the dead.

Yesterday India votes against US proposals in UN, today a US made new plane crashes!....just saying.....

Meh. Why are C-130Js operated by NATO countries (Norway & UK) crashing then?

(In UK, 2007 and Norway, 2012...now in India, 2014)
