Planet Fitness kicked Muslim woman out for wearing head scarf

Muslims never poisoned wells for migrants that were heading for India. Learn actual truth. From research. I am not saying Muslims were saints, but the reality is that Hindus and Sikhs committed many more atrocities than Muslims.
more or less......muslims butchered passengers, raped their girls

no one is saint...........

why hold only Hindus responsible

we dont remember partition as a gud day either................we are trying to forget it but tum logon ki wajah se ye ho nahi pata

It is obvious, this forum caters to non-Muslims. That is fine, but the amount of Islam bashing done here is disgusting. I pray you guys find something else to occupy your lives with. For Islam I will die. For Islam I will take permanent ban. For Islam, I will fight all of you, until I die.

In the meantime, I would suggest a trip to Chillis.. might calm your desire for internet glory and martyrdom.
We already have other things to occupy us without having to worry about every tom, dick and hari bashing Islam. Islam has stood throughout history as a gleaming light.. it will continue to do so..
Muslims however, are a different matter altogether...

Yes and Muslims invaded India and did all that. The question is how long with this demonzing of Muslims continue by Internet Hindus?
India has Muslims.. they are a part of your country.. and they need to be accepted as such.. and assisted as such.

The topic at hand is on American Muslims, and their treatment based on bigotry. Ill give you an example.. my brother on a recent trip to the US .. in Houston.. looked for a part time job.. He stumbled upon an Indian run restaurant near west drew in Houston.. @RazPaK should know where this is.. inside were all Indians working..in a sweatshop like environment with an Indian owner... when asked where he was from.. my brother replied Pakistan.. the next reply was "Get the **** out of my place you lowlife Muslim **** Pig"..

So clearly, there is an issue with the acceptance of Muslims in America..with bigotry abound.. ironically from the same people who have faced bigotry themselves.

We the common every day practitioners take offense when we recognized this site as our bastion of hope. Islam is nothing, without the faithful. The believers. The ones that honor it's sanctity. I don't mind If you abuse my Prophet. That is in the nature of you liberal fascists. I mind when people distort the facts of my religion.

When you libs use it as a tool for propaganda. That is when I get angry.

You were a staunch supporter of Paracha, and recently took a u-turn when he insulted Iqbal. It's that duplicity that irks me. Remaining relevant and popular might be a concern for some, but when your ideals are probed, you illustrate the defense mechanism.

Not very different from any human being.

Dont remember support for Paracha... nor do I remember U-Turns either. Unlike you, I dont condemn or abhor everything from someone I dont agree with.. nor do I put everyone(except the Prophet and his companions) on a pedestal where I ignore all mistakes.

Don't you sound ever so self-righteous..

Ha.

You don't want to take a closer look.

Fine.

I am wrong and you are right.

Just remember, I left my ego long ago before I engaged in this thread.

I was just hoping you'd do the same.

Oh no.. I am not right.. but give me the proof. I cannot come to any conclusion unless there is proof..
Have I appreciated Paracha's satire.. yes.. until it got boring and repetitve.. but I have.
The same way I appreciated a Star Bucks Cappuccino till I learnt of the very pro Zionist intent of its founders and their regular donations to that cause. Did I support Zionism then? You might be inclined to say yes, but then that is your agenda and I care less for that compared to switching my tastes to Costa Coffee.

If I sound self-righteous.. who cares.. never got into this past time for "impressions" and "sounding".

Okay.

Have a good evening/morning.

Hardly anything to complain about. If the Gym had rules against headscarves, then they should have been respected.
Besides, isn't Turkey also a country that bans headscarves for women in places like Universities?

what happened in US has never happened in India with muslims

but i never understood why this guy only helds hindus for all his miseries...........no one is saint.........i am not saying every hindu is saint but same goes for muslims also..............
why target a particular religion.............

on topic,you are right

Take many Internet Hindus( those that deride Islam everywhere and beat the false drum of Muslim Invaders).. why do they so vicifrously hate Islam?

Its due to a lack of self fulfilment in other spheres of life. Somewhere , the frustrations of life ended up being focused on particular individuals .. then to their creed.. their religion and so on. Then , like an escape such as drugs or otherwise.. this takes hold.
Im not saying we all dont indulge in this, I do.. I have seen you do it.. but the extent you ,I or anyone else does it shows the general sense of desperation in fulfilling a certain gap or negative experience that happened in one's life..

@Oscar Haven't come across any safety related issues with head scarves in gyms till date though. If the folks at the gym were truly concerned about some safety issue then they could have told her as much and issued the necessary instructions along with getting her to sign a waiver or something of that sort. While private clubs and membership based orgs. do have the discretionary right to decide who to let in and who not to, the said freedom is superseded by the constitutionally guaranteed freedoms provided to American citizens. As such if in a court of law the lady's lawyer can prove that she was booted out based on religious prejudice, which he/she will probably be able to do, then Planet Fitness is going to end up paying through its nose. Given the amount of money to be had the lady in question probably won't have any difficulty finding a good lawyer, by the time said lawyer is done with his closing the 12 folks in the jury will probably award her with quite a big amount. Funnily enough Planet Fitness probably has its own team of lawyers, generally if a boss terminates an employee under the aegis of at will employment even then he/she consults the lawyer before doing so, what were the folks at the gym thinking? Surely they must have pondered over the fact that this looks exactly like religious discrimination regardless of any long-standing and existing rules against head scarves in the gym. Not so smart a move on their part, probably headed for a hefty out of court settlement.

Yer back

Not sure about headscarves, but loose clothes is not allowed in our gym. May differ from one gym to another - depending on the machines in use.

Well yes, gym rules do vary. But the point is of legality, it would be quite difficult for the lawyers of the gym in question to disprove religious prejudice if the lady decides to go to court. Unless she was running around and harassing other female members about wearing a scarf or had a previous accident in the gym due to said scarf the gym doesn't have much to argue its case upon.

American Muslims were very weak on the abortion and gay issues. We elected people that supported both.

I think we are unanimous over the issue of homosexuality that we are not fans but we are ahead of the Christians in that we do not really make a fuss about it either, most of American Muslims are either middle class or higher middle class we do not have a "rich" upper class that has nothing better to do but bitch about who others sleep with.

As for abortion I think it is split down the middle like me personally I am pro choice but there is a certain point in the pregnancy when it becomes a murder of a child and so that should be kept in mind. The Quran pretty much echoes this view on the matter although Mullahs will probably say otherwise but I do not wish to start a religious debate here lol.

Oh, by the way, true, U.S. is her country, but Planet Fitness is not "her" gym. You know very well that a business has the right to refuse you any service. Especially if its in violation of its rules. Now you may take it to the court, but there is no guarantee that you can win the case.

Actually if this goes to court she will win because the rules of their gym have religious exception for head wear but they still kicked her out, that falls into discrimination the gym will probably agree to a settlement.

why a thread on every head scarf news, getting a bit routine now
