What's new

Telangana bill got passed in loksabha.A new State got born in India.

well as far as i know thats the situation..there are people i know who are working with YSRC and they are not happy..

I think, TDP and YSRC may win neck and neck in next Assembly elections. YSRC has an edge, but lost that once Jagan is out from Jail.

Interesting case is Telangana. It seems like TDP has plan to send some of his senior leaders to BJP and they may contest on BJP ticket.

 if TDP play its strategy correctly in seemandhra. they will form govt easily or else it could be a situation like delhi assembly.

in telangana trs and congress will form the govt most likely..so left out party tdp might become priniciple opposition if it gets its numbers right.

yes.

That should give some background info about the demand for a state of Telengana. In general, smaller states are easier to govern and administer, and will have more representation per population. USA has 50 state governments for 300 million people. UP has one state govt for 200 million people.

Yes, time to make J&K a three state!!

costal andhra's percapita is "marginally"more than other parts because 4 of its districts are doing doing good in agriculture owing to its fertile lands.we are already facing water shortages from upper states especially during summers and it would be severe after brijesh kumar tribunal.now one more state comes in between.uttarandhra(srikakulam, vizianagaram, visakhapatnam except the city) are one of the most backward districts in ap if you look at the report.as you can see rayalaseema is also no better.when after studying whole report he advised the bifurcation must be the last option.dont forget all the above are agency areas once infested with maoists.not mention the same hyderabad you mentioned accounts for more than 40% of revenues to the state.and from now on seemandhra do not have any other assets.

If you look at per capita income in all the areas of AP including rayalaseema and seemandhra they are not that backward. They may face the cuts in revenue for a short while until they develop their own infrastructure. I am hoping that center will come to their rescue during this period. People from seemandhra made huge contribution in developing Hyderabad with their education skills and entrepreneurial spirit. Now they have to channel their energy in their own respective state now.

the average percapita of seemandhra +rayalaseema is about 61000 thats 11000 less than telangana's percapita..and every facility in the state is only available in hyderabad.so theres a genuine concern among people..add to that water sharing problems and power problems..
this whole episode can be done in a better way..after creating some assets for seemandhra people, after concluding the water sharing agreements, after having some proper discussions and consultations, after announcing the package..and this only increased the anxities of the seemandhra people..afterall the whole package was not yet given to the states formed till now leave alone seemandhra!!im sure when next govt comes to power they will have more "productive"things to do than worrying about the plight of seemandhra people.we've seen it with jharkhand, chattisgarh, uttaranchal and seemandhra is not going to be any exception!

if you want to remove a finger first you must give anesthisia and provide with i.v fluids and blood while during the surgery..you dont just take an axe and hack the finger off!!thats what congress did..and remaining played their part in this big political game..

My understanding is that all the discussions regarding water sharing and revenue sharing were discussed with various leaders over the past year when the decision to bifurcate the state was made. I concur with you that they did this in haste because of the elections and should have given out all the details to the general public.

Keeping Hyderabad as joint capital for next ten years was the right decision and this will prevent mass exodus of people from Hyderabad.

This is not the first time the centre has divided the states and I am sure they have some kind of mechanism to share the resources that they adhere to.

they devided AP into two without showing solution for problems. . But they created more problems. .. TG is welcomed but the way they did is wrong. ..

AP was the power house for India. Now see AP would be like a state with revenue deficiency.

T and SA (after division) will lose their identity now. Nobody cares as we've become politically insignificant :hitwall::hitwall:

Hyderabad will be the joint capital for at least the next ten years. That is plenty of time to form a new capital and administrative facilities.

Joint capital? My foot. Just to use the assembly and nothing more.

Q1. If people of both states are Telugu speaking then why was bifurcation needed ?

Q2. To which state does Hyderabad go ?

Opinion 1. This is good for development of both states. Smaller states are better governed.

Opinion 2. Uttar Pradesh desperately needs division as well.

U know, India is a immature and rotten form of democracy.

There is no scientific basis for division. Congress felt it can gain 15 more seats and it has divided AP.

Hyd goes to Telangana.

Yes, UP is in for division in near future.

the best thing to do would be to build a brand new capital instead of declaring an existing city as the capital.

It would den take lakhs of CRs of investments, which the govt doesnt have.

And atleast 5-6 decades to build one.

Talk something which makes sense buddy.

Vizag or Visakhapatnam was to be a fastest growing city in AP. But for teh sake of Hyderabad development politicians like Chandrababu sacrificed Vizag's growth for Hyderabad. Now we neither have Hyd nor Vizag, as it is half baked.:cry:

It doesnt require lakhs of crores.
It requires a few billion dollars.
For reference please check the cost of building a new city in the DMIC.

And it can be easily spread out over one decade with private sector taking the lead.

Building a new Capital is the sensible option, considering Seemandhra's needs for decades to come.

no just for keeping it away from all this mess

They should have declared Hyd as a city state. And asked T and SA to develop their own capitals.

It doesnt require lakhs of crores.
It requires a few billion dollars.

Could you plz tell me, how many billions of dollars were invested in Hyd for last 2 decades?
