Shahed-129 MALE UCAV | News and Discussions

It's not a mock up, it's already under mass production. You can watch the video of its flight in first post.

The surveillance version started production last year and the armed version just went under mass production few days ago.

I just thought it was, now we are positively sure about what could this drone play.

Once again, please don't send these drones to bomb us :pissed:

well , don't worry ,these drones rely on topographic maps to find their location for long distance travel (at least till , we send several SAT into space) and well , in KSA the scenarists tend to have little variation and the drone probably get lost.

Jokes are good for health from time to time, don't you think?

This is a more professional unveiling. Congratulations!
Now you can say that Iran is the fourth drone power (after US, Israel, and China). If you finish the RQ170 platforml and launch a working communication satellite as a datalink, Iran can go up to the second place right after US

The one with retractable landing gear is not showing to be flying

Come on! Iran is technologically way behind Germany France UK Italy South Korea Japan Turkey, and all these countries do make their own drones and have active drone programs and enormous technological infrastructure base.

None of these countries (except Turkey) have a viable MALE drone program, let alone a polecat.
Watchkeeper of UK is out of the game and Neuron UAV is just a mock-up at this point.

The fact that Germany and SK are ahead of Iran and Turkey in technology does not mean they are ahead in drones or for example ballistic missiles.
You saw that Russia asked UAE for drones.

Watchkeeper is active and mature program, Neuron is flying prototype, EADS Talarion, SAGEM Sperwer, Selex ES Falco. Alenia Aermacchi Sky-Y and more!

To remotely control an airframe is not technological marvel, it has been done since 1916, the challenge is connectivity, netcentricity, reliability.
I doubt Russia has asked UAE for drones, but if, why didnt they asked Iran if they are so advanced?

-Watchkeeper, Sperwer, Falco aren't similar class UAV's mentioned.
-Talarion is a dead program. TAI was also %25 partner of it.
-NEURON was just a technology demonstration program

I would say Watchkeeper and Shahed129 are pretty much in the same class.
Talarion is not dead, look it up.
NEURON is technological demonstrator indeed and that is my point, it is prototype of flying turbojet UAV, it demonstrate capability of European countries to design and manufacture Complex UAV systems. Funny that Shahed129 cant even taxi, and so called footages of it allegedly fire missile and hit target are dubious.

These programs are dead or are not a MALE drone, as mentioned. Watch keeper failed to get the certification for continuation as of now and has 17 hours of endurance which is not enough for a MALE definition.

Well, Hizbol drones had 400 km flight over Israel in a programmed path to enter Israel from the sea.

According to the UN resolution that Russia voted for, Iran cannot export any arm.

NEURON Talarion
400 km flight over Israel? no..... and what is the relevance?
well, but Iranians could have at least share their superior capability t least with Russia

S-129 is quite larger than WK 450 or Hermes 450.
