Should make some Pakistanis understand how complicated and cosmopolitan India is.. religion and stuff like that are for the poor in India.. the grandson of your father of the nation is a big industrialist in India...so what ever pakistan says or do.. the Umbilical cord is still attached to India.

New Delhi: Nusli Wadia, who is the grandson of Jinnah and a businessman man close to the BJP, has broken his silence on the Jinnah controversy.

In an interview to CNBC TV18 that could cause more embarrassment for the BJP, Wadia lashed out at its decision to expel Jaswant Singh and ban the book, saying he was appalled.

"One suggestion the BJP is making is that you financed the book, that you made Jaswant Singh do it to glorify your grandfather. Is that accurate?" anchor of the show, Vir Singhvi asked.

"Using intemperate language on television is not allowed, otherwise I would really say something of the sort. That is nonsense, absolute nonsense. I mean, is a man going to spend five years writing a book for Nusli Wadia? What has Nusli Wadia got to do with Jaswant Singh? We are friends. Rightly, my grandfather is my grandfather, that is not going to change. The fact that I am proud of my grandfather is not going to change. I do not need Jaswant Singh to write a certificate for my grandfather," lashed out Wadia.

When asked about the debate on Jinnah that the BJP has been conducting, Nusli Wadia said he defends the individual right of a person to pen his thoughts.

"When you see this debate happening, when many of the people involved are close friends of yours, how does it feel, looking at it? Is it really your grandfather that they are discussing?" Singhvi had asked.

"In the case of Jaswant Singh, I do not think anyone has the right to say that he does not have the right to write a book," Wadia said.

"Mr Advani is one of your closest friends. You have known him for thirty, forty years. How does it feel when you see him in this situation?" Singhvi asked Wadia.

"Sad, very sad," Wadia replied.

Nusli Wadia is known to have been close to many leaders in the BJP. He expressed anguish over the reactions exhibited by party members in the wake of the book Jaswant Singh published on Jinnah and history.

Wadia was asked, "Given that you knew them so well, are you surprised by the way the BJP behaved?"

He replied, "I am surprised, yes. I am very surprised, saddened and appalled."

Nusli Wadia News : Jinnah's grandson Nusli Wadia shocked by BJP's take

Dina wadia took the right decision staying back in India. It was good for her family and the country

Well its appauling to see how people of each country hate each other now. And its ironic to see the grandson of the father of pakistani nation is living in an country many pakistani consider as an enemy state.

And having nusli wadia here makes me feel that, even jinnah wouldn't have wanted this two countries to go apart like we have now..!!!

Jinnah died soon after .. he did not vision this for Pakistan

Quaid-e-Azam never met this person and he was not happy with his daughter's decision of marrying a Parsi man.

She chose to live in Bombay with her Parsi husband and Quaid-e-Azam did not accept that. Many believe he disowned her.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah worked day and night for Pakistan even during his illness which shows how much he cared for Pakistan, we Pakistanis dont know much about his daughter, she is insignificant compared to her father and her aunt.

He also married parsi Rattanbai Petit.

and 'insignificant' is very harsh, rude, disrespect. No matter what, Your parents always love you, regardless of how you act.

I always try to not to comment on such unfortunate family issues.

These things sometimes do get settled after few yrs, but Jinnah died soon after.

U forgot to read this -

Jinnah continued to correspond cordially with his daughter, but their personal relationship was strained. Dina continued to live in India with her family.

I can only imagine it was matter of just few yrs.

The woman that Quaid-e-Azam married was born in a Parsi family but converted to Islam before marrying Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The man that married Quaid-e-Azam's daughter refused to become Muslim before marrying her and Quaid-e-Azam did not accept their marriage.

This was their personal family issue. The truth is most Pakistanis give most attention to only two Jinnah's. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and his siter Fatima Jinnah.

His daughter is not given any attention in Pakistani books, media, etc.. so she has no importance in Pakistan.

Unfortunatly it was Sawarkar's and his followers who have forced Muslims for creating a separate country.

It is not at all ironic to see his grandson living in India because here Jinnah's daughter already parted her ways with her father and Jinnah being a man with great vision did not force his daughter to live in Pakistan.

The most ironic thing is the how Indians are showing a knee-jerk reaction over Jaswant's book on Jinnah.
i wish if they have little tolerence.

Jinnah moved to Pakistan ..... he had to once the wheel was in motion.

But he left his heart in India.

Please read up about his and Rati's love story, her death at a young age from TB, and about what a heartbroken Jinnah's last request was about the house he had built in Mumbai.

Incidentally, Jinnah and Rati too were estranged for a number of years before her death ..... and the reason according to all sources was Jinnah's overbearing sister and the influence she exerted in his life.

There are always two sides to every story .... you are of course welcome to your own carefully nurtured one.

Cheers, Doc

This is where i can say.. that you know very little about indians..!! And i have bought the book written by jaswant singh... and i am reading it..!! I will give you my opinion after i finsih it..!! The stuipidyt of few people doesnt define the entire nation....!! You can see that the high court have LIFTED the ban against the book in gujarat.. and if you might want to know.. over 5000 copies of the book have been sent to gujarat..!!!

And i know its not ata all ironcial to those people who really to this day belive that hindu's and muslims can't coexist but sorry to say i am not one of them..!! and i am sure majority of indians are not either..!!! And its sad that india is being judged based on the act of few people..!!!
And i hope we all come to a day where we can think beyond nationalism and religous extrimsism.. and see each other as pure human beings...!!!

A father can kick his son out,but disowned his daughter,no way.....

Animosity against Father, it is despicable and un Islamic. she totally acted against all norms of being a good daughter and being a good and obedient girl, what a shameful way to take revenge from your father, One does not take revenge from father, a true and good person dies for the family and father. and the honor that comes with it.
