This was bound to happen, i was just thinking about it yesterday that their might be retaliatory attacks. And just today we hear this news.

But, we didn't started it !!!

Anyway, Sanaullah was a pakistani Terrorist, here are Five facts about him.

1) He is 54 years old and has been in the Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu for 17 years.

2) Sanaullah is accused of detonating bombs at electric towers and government buildings in Jammu and Kashmir in 1990.

3) He was sentenced to eight years imprisonment by a Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA) and Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) court in 2008.

4) Sanaullah is a resident of Daluwali district of Pakistan.

4) He crossed over to India illegally with the help of another accused Kehar, who died during trial.

So, he was Pakistani Terrorist accused of Bombing Government Building in jammu and kashmir, so just like pakistani's were celebrating Sarabjit Singh's death yesterday. I say even if this Sanaullah terrorist scum dies, it will be good riddance.

Rot in Hell Swine !!!

why do you want to be like pakistani trolls? He got 8 years because his crime was less severe than that attracting death penalty. So he deserves to live.

No one saw the attack coming in Pakistan's case. This incident however is shame on India.

Not true. Sarabjit got death threats in jail after Afzal Guru's hanging and was in constant fear for his life. How could the jail officials not know about it???

the pakistani prisoners should be isolated and kept in safe area (no interaction in common area) for few days.

now thats responsible and i would appreciate it if this step is taken just to keep them safe  :) .

NEW DELHI: Pakistan on Friday raised with India the incident in which one of its nationals lodged in a Jammu jail was attacked and sought immediate consular access to him.

"Pakistan high commission has shown serious concern. It has taken up with ministry of external affairs the attack on Pakistani prisoner Sanaullah in Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu," the press attache in the high commission here said.

He said apart from seeking immediate consular access, the high commission has also asked for detailed information about the incident and medical facilities for the victim and security of other Pakistani inmates.

It was not immediately known whether the attack on the 52-year-old convict with a sharp weapon was a backlash against the death of Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh in a hospital in Pakistan yesterday after being comatose for nearly a week following a brutal assault by fellow inmates in a high-security Lahore jail, officials said.

Official sources said the Kot Balwal jail superintendent Rajni Sehgal has been suspended by the Jammu and Kashmir government which also ordered a probe.

The sources said Sanaullah, a resident of Pakistan, was admitted in Government Medical College hospital in an unconscious condition with serious injuries on his head after being hit by a fellow inmate this morning.

A case of assault was registered against Vinod Kumar, an ex-serviceman who is also serving a life term in the jail in the outskirts of Jammu. Kumar hails from Uttrakhand.

The sources said the health condition of Sanaullah was stated to be very critical as he was hit with a very sharp weapon. He may be shifted to Chandigarh's PGI for treatment as his Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) was pretty low. GCS is a scale for measuring level of consciousness, especially after a head injury, in which scoring is determined by three factors: amount of eye opening, verbal responsiveness, and motor responsiveness.

Sanaullah was arrested on April 1999 in connection with five cases related to terror activities. The attack occurred ahead of Sarabjit's funeral at his native village in Punjab.

49-year-old Sarabjit had sustained severe injuries when at least six prisoners attacked him in a barrack at Kot Lakhpat Jail last week, hitting him on the head with bricks.

He was on death row after being convicted of alleged involvement in a string of bomb attacks in Pakistan's Punjab province that killed 14 people in 1990 and spent about 22 years in Pakistani prisons. Sarabjit's family has said his was a case of mistaken identity.

Meanwhile, the Union home ministry has asked all the states to step up security of nearly 220 Pakistani prisoners lodged in their respective jails after the attack in the Lahore prison.

Attack on Pak prisoner 'regrettable': MEA

Terming as "regrettable" the incident in which a Pakistani prisoner was injured in a Jammu jail during an altercation with another inmate, India today said the matter was being investigated and the guilty will be punished.

The ministry of external affairs also said the injured was receiving the medical treatment and once the medical arrangements were in place, consular access will be provided.

"We are aware of the regrettable incident involving a Pakistani prisoner Sanaullah Ranjay who was injured today during an altercation with another inmate of the jail in Jammu.

"The matter is being investigated and the guilty will be punished. Safety and security of prisoners in custody lies with the jail authorities and the necessary action is being taken.

"We are in touch with the Pakistan High Commission on the matter. The injured is receiving the medical treatment and once the medical arrangements are in place, the consular access will be provided," the spokesperson in the ministry said.

He also said in view of these tragic incidents, which included killing of two Indian prisoners in a Pakistani jail and that involving a Pakistani prisoner in a jail in Jammu on Friday, there is a need to take stock of the current measures in place to ensure safety, security and humane treatment of Indian and Pakistani prisoners in each other's jails.

"For this, we are proposing a meeting of the concerned authorities of both countries to study the recommendations and identify and put in place further measures to avoid such tragic incidents in future," he said.

He also noted that India had recently requested the joint judicial committee to visit jails in Pakistan.

This was Committee's sixth meeting and they have made some recommendations.

There are nearly 535 Indian prisoners (including 483 fishermen) in Pakistani jails and a total of 270 Pakistani prisoners in Indian jails.

Ironic - considering how staunchly Hindu Gandhi personally was that he created a state which is constitutionally secular and how Jinnah created a constitutionally Islamic state despite being staunchly secular on a personal level.

Gandhi had no other choice. He did this to avoid further more Pakistans. No wonder if he is hated by a lot of India for this "blunder".

What's wrong with everyone? Was this thread for fixing the blame on each other? Morons !!

@Topic: The victim is being airlifted to Chandigarh.

purposely done.... i don't buy that the officials didn't see this coming...

What justification?? Such acts have no plausible justification...And neither does the idiotic and pathetic gloating that a lot of Pakistani members displayed on the sarabjeet's death thread....

You did tried to justify this attack. When you said the responsibility lies on Pakistan for attack on Sanaullah, you ended up justifying this attack.

Your post reminds me of Pakistani religious parties who condemn terrorism but hesitate to condemn TTP and give same justifications like you gave.

Selective amnesia??

You guys have gone beyond this low, very low even before Sarabjit case. I won't even call it a retaliation of Sarabjit attack. Just another day for a Pakistani prisoner in Indian jail.
