i think it was Eleanor Roosevelt who said that 'You will be damned if you do damned if you don't'. He knew that very well and that's why he remained a controversial figure.

Honestly, Balasaheb Thackeray didnt really care much about Pakistani except the occasional anti-Pak statement every 6 months or so. He was more involved in dealing with anti-nationals within the country, and while people might argue about his approach, his politics and vision has made Mumbai from slums to one of the richest cities in the world.

His politics and vision?? He was as narrow minded as it gets.. People from all over India made Mumbai one of the greatest cities in the world.. Bal Thackeray has nothing to do with it.. He was not even a patriot.. He only think of Maharashtra, nothing else.. He was good for Maharashtrians for outside people he was nothing other than a person who is a curse for a city like Mumbai..
