If the above picture is considered a true mock up of the original missile, i don't see any issue with its width or length in getting it fitted to the center line hard point.

I wouldn't be so sure about it, here are 2 more pics, that shows how less space there is between the fuel tank and the folding gear / gear bays:

2 Ra'ad CMs, 1 800L center line fuel tank, 2 BVRs at 2 & 6 and 2 WVR at 1 & 7, best configuration for a ground attack mission.

Only if JF 17 has got mid air refuelling capability, because that's close to it's maximum payload with just 800l of external fuel, which makes refuelling after take off necessary.

But 1000Kg doesn't specify the payload, it could be 3 x 1000Kg bombs, while the centerline station does not hold C-802 which are lighter, but longer. Also interestingly, did you noticed that the pic says more than 1000KG on 3 stores, but that the 1000Kg bomb is only shown for the centerline station, just like in the 2 load configs I provided in post #5222.

Tempest and ANTIBODY.

I doubt if Thunder could perform well with all three stations having 1000 KG on them. It could be fatal, with 3500>load>3000 KG on it, the speed, cruising, turns, not to mention RCS would all be affected.

load carried by the JFT depends on the mission and the distance the a/c would need to travel. in most cases JFT will be employed for short to med distance targets / missions in the CAS / maritime role. deep strike would be left to the F-16s and the J-10s if we ever get them.

Quoting a poster from PAKDEF who nicely put why PAF should be more open about JF-17 program and why should they leave the habit of so called SECRECY

Any programme that is looking to have an international presence to generate sales must generate a continual stream of news/information to keep the programme alive. You only have to look at the Gripen programme, and the associated media presence to realise this.

For a programme that came out at full volume, all guns blazing, it has become very silent... Too silent infact. Notification of additional squadrons migrating to the JF17 is not enough.. If new weapon systems have been integrated and qualified, then they should be announced as part of reaching out to the community and showing progress in actual capability of the platform.

Does anyone have more information about the dogfights involving the F-16A and JF-17 (if it's publicly available that is)? I'm extremely interested to look at the results in more depth.

Best regards

Nothing is publicly available.
What is available is on insider leaks.
You may search this website for such clues by the Think Tank group(colored blue).
