Probably, Saudi Arabia has more satellites up in space than any other "Muslim" country and Egypt was the first "Muslim" country to have its own spy satellite in orbit.

Old days secret projects with China and Pakistan.

J-600T ballistic missile

J-600T_ballistic_missile.jpg

J-600T_ballistic_missile_launching_vehicle.jpg

Turkey's cooperation with China and Pakistan for the joint development of ballistic missiles began in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The story of Project J, as well as Project Kasırga which preceded it, goes back to the first half of the 1990s, when negotiations for the technology transfer and production under license in Turkey of the American M-270 MLRS artillery rocket system failed. Turkey decided to seek for other alternatives, mainly focusing on full sovereignty over critical technologies in order to establish a self-sufficient national infrastructure for the design and development of guided missiles. After signing a contract for the licensed production of the Chinese WS-1A and WS-1B rockets under the name of Kasırga in 1997, a similar contract was signed with CPMIEC (Chinese Precision Machinery Import and Export Corporation) for the Chinese B-611 SRBM system in 1998, covering the licensed production of a battery of B-611 with more than 200 missiles, at a reported cost of USD 300,000,000.

The J-600T design is based on the B-611 SRBM developed by CASIC (China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation) as a low cost tactical missile system, with a range of up to 250 km in improved versions such as the B-611M, and as a replacement for the M-11 (CSS-7 and DF-11) missiles in Chinese inventory. CPMIEC officials have confirmed at the IDEF 2007 military fair in Ankara that B-611M, the improved version of B-611, was not a part of the Sino-Turkish cooperation program.

Turkey's Roketsan has been assigned with the task of improving the range, performance and design of the J-600T, and is conducting studies on alternatives such as a sealed pod launcher box design, improved propellant, improved GCU and different types of warhead configurations.

Roketsan is reportedly working on an improved version of J-600T, details of which are highly speculative for the moment. Given that the system was first revealed to the public more than 7 years of its introduction to service, it can be expected that information about the improved version, if there is any, is going to remain secret for some time.

Turkish land forces command has a total of 6 batteries of T-300 Kasirga system in service. The T-300 system and TR-300 is being promoted by ROKETSAN in various international defense exhibitions and offered for export. Given the successful export of TR-122 Sakarya MBRLS series along with 10,000 TRB-122, United Arab Emirates may become first export customer of T-300 Kasirga. At one time T-300 Kasirga was aggressively market to Pakistan for its requirement of long-range MBRL (Multi Barrel Rocket Launcher) but Pakistan opted for the A-100 multi-rocket launch systems along with Active phased array SLC-2 Radar from china to counter Indian purchase of Smerch MLRS from Russia. Pakistan is negotiating a deal for local production in future of A-100 MRLS.

The response by Turkey's T-300 and TR-122 Roketsan Artillery rockets are slows.

The Egyptian military industry is so vast and the history so expansive it would take at least two daysto describe it in brief. Much has been made of the ballistic missile capabilites of Iran, North Korea, Pakistan, India, and many other countries, but which was the first country to develop its own ballistic missiles under its own national ballistic missile development programme in the developing world?

I think the progress of Saudis are impressive everyone and I am sure more and more products are coming in future. I hope that they will look towards JV with other countries like China, Russia, Turkey or any other country in Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Jet trainers as well doing JV in Transport planes like CN-295, A-400Ms/KC-390 and Il-76 class planes. INSHA ALLAH.

Its amazing to see that Saudis have facilities where they can produce their very own satellites, I think other than Communication they must also look towards, Spy, Geo and weather satellites on war footings. And try to develop some three classes of launching platforms for launching satellites of small, medium or large satellites. And this will help them in producing BRBMs, IRBM and even ICBMs soon.

Although there aren't need of bikes in Saudi Arabia like in Pakistan of 70c.cs and 125c.c but its a good step towards making progress. I think they should also look towards the new engine technology which is being developed by U.S State University(can't remember the name of that University) whose engine is unique in design and have less parts along with generator that provides electrical power to the motors attached in wheels. That is efficient and cost effective too, this tech can be utilize in tanks, APC and other vehicles as well.

Really nice to see that MASHA ALLAH. I think they should open up more and more R&D labs and facilities in set up an Islamic Education system in Egypt so that the person coming out from an institute will be a clean-good Human.
