exactly it is the largest picture of " human rights violation in india" that is omitted from all the discussions. why not start one on india - it's all brand new, not anything redundant!?

i don't get you, u can try googling(If there is a term like that) it if you can, besides I know no Chinese member here or anywhere, even if he wants to can criticize or accept anything or they might also go thru' the same fate as the people in those pics. so .....peace, uphold your flag no matter what cos u don't have a choice neither a voice.

Someone is angry because I showed the truth behind what happens behind the shiny chinese cities

nobody gets more blinded than you by your own anger that's why I bolded the words and enlarged them in red so you can see them clearly and no more denial of the sickest condition in india!

The topic on hand is China not India.

@shuttler... If you cannot debate like a sane person, please stay away from the thread. You posting nonsense doesn't help the discussion in any ways. If you think there are no human rights abuse in the article, then debate so with valid points. You guys bring India in every goddam thread about China... shows your insecurity to accept reality.

The topic on hand also talks about human rights - and a revelation by comparison with the conditions there in india should be most enlightening.

China’s human rights record worsened in 2011: Report

BEIJING China’s human rights record worsened in 2011, making it the most repressive year in a decade, after Beijing launched a crackdown following prote-sts across the Arab world, a group said on Friday.

Hong Kong-based Chinese Human Rights Defenders said in its annual report on rights activists in China that 2011 was characterised by lengthy jail terms, enforced disappearances and torture of dissidents.

Political upheaval that rocked the Middle East and sparked calls for anti-government ‘Jasmine rallies’ in China spooked authorities, who responded by launching one of the toughest crackdowns on dissent in years, it said.

The group said the move to silence government critics “marked yet another low point in China’s human rights, making 2011 the most repressive year since the rights defence movement began in the early 2000s.”

It estimated that dozens of activists were disappeared and tortured, while several veteran dissidents were sentenced to long jail terms.

One of the most alarming developments last year was the use of “enforced” disappearances, in which at least two dozen activists were taken by authorities and held for long periods of time in secret locations, the organisation said.

Secret detentions in China are well-documented — the renowned artist Ai Weiwei was among several dissidents to be taken to unknown locations and held for months without charge during a crackdown on government critics last year.

China had planned to make it legal to ‘disappear’ criminal suspects as part of changes to the country’s criminal law, which is under debate this week by lawmakers attending the annual National People’s Congress.

However, in what was hailed as a victory for judicial reformers, China has abandoned those controversial plans following a public outcry.

Sounds like Singapore from the old days, and well that's how most Chinese societies work.

"The Ministry of Home Affairs Internal Security Department enforces the country's Internal Security Act (ISA) as a counter to potential espionage, international terrorism, threats to racial and religious harmony, and subversion. The ISA permits indefinite detention without formal charges or recourse to trial, and has been used to imprison political opponents, including Chia Thye Poh, who was held for 32 years without trial before being released. As of 2005, 36 men were being held under the ISA.[3]"

Similiar things happen in Taiwan but I am too lazy to dig it up

Its funny how western powers always try to impose their mentality of how society should work on societies that function totally different from their own and when things don't go to plan they start jumping up and down about it. Its like asking a Chinese to eat with with hands and an Indian to use chopsticks. When things don't work out then start shouting about it.
