1. That is a ridiculous thing to say. Units are located for reasons of logistics, availability of training facility, accommodation, etc. Only the Dhaka Brigade is tasked with the protection of the capital in peace time. The RWP Corps of PA and a similar USMC formation around Washington DC are tasked similarly.

2. In spite of the political situation in BD, our armed forces are very professional. We definitely are proud to have the best Officer Corps in SA. Like any properly organized defense forces, ours are also bound by stringent chain of command and mily discipline.

But what I do know is that there are some serious problems in the army. The AL seems to be trying very hard to place loyalists within the military. By hook or by crook.

Especially since they never had amicable relations. And the AL is not very popular right now.

Place an election now, and we'll see the AL will lose, and there's little or no chance for that to improve. The only way to win the next term is to manipulate...everything...

What I think is that Jamaat elements in the army are being removed and that these emails and Facebook messages are a response to what is happening in the army now. I have heard a small group of officers who are behind this. Recently they released an email disclosing 170 crore corruption by the DG DGFI.
