Mine already registered. Can't believe I voted for PML - N ( Since IK boycotted, I chose a lesser evil). Anyways is there chance they they would publish the voters list online so that every body can check if their vote is registered?

in stead of the lesser evil, they turned out to be the devils in disguise...

anyways, you need to reconfirm your vote....

reminder:

If you have not registered your vote yet, kindly visit the nearest Election Commission Office, and get your and your family members' vote registered. All you need is to fill one form.

Remember on election day you wont be able to register. you must do it now.

Please do not be upset in case your name does not come up..
The last two times I tried.. somehow.. my name would never come up in the ballot box..
its either old people or those without education.

Exactly, the people like me never get time to pay utility bills on time due to office timings, how can we extract time for this purpose? 1st go to Election Commition for the forms, and then complete all requirements for registering the vote and then again go back to Election Commition to register the form, quite time consume, while we all know one illiterate guy can nullify your vote. Atleast this process needs to be smooth, so we should spare time for only election day.

PS: IK is the only hope since we haven't tested him yet.

Yesterday a team of ECP visited my house and asked for CNIC's of each member of my family who were over 18. Then they checked their list and marked our names to make sure that voters list gets updated. A simple process it was which did not take more than 10 mins. And the best part is that they would not be meeting/seeing each member individually.

If any one you is not available at home when they visit, just ask one of your family member to show them your ID card copy.

Raheel has explained you with his experience very well,

you can print out the form and fill the requirements, now all you need is to hand over it to the nearest Election commission office,

online form: https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B3HIyRdKdbxDYzYxZjgzMzAtNGFlNC00OGQxLTgwOWItOWViMzIxNzdlOWRj&hl=en_US&pli=1

unless you are not ready to take the responsibility and remain pessimist...things will deteriorate... if it matters to you, that our country to remain free, you will do the least and go register your vote.

2nd option is you keep the copy of your colour ID card/ (original if possible) at your home, and when the EC team arrive, show them and get it registered... simple as hell...

Election day is HOLIDAY, and it is for this very purpose of VOTING, the state gives you a day off to vote not for sleep or asks you to kindly spare time for VOTE.

Its a National Responsibility to VOTE.

Ha Ha Ha, i know the people like you, when they want to avoid answers, they start pointing others.

I really don't care. Enjoy your stupid democracy where 30% of illiterates can rule-out whole nation.

Freedom is a term which is practically impossible to get. We call a country free when majority of the people think rules and rulers are as per their expectation. Do you really think same for democratic Pakistan? Think again!!

ECP and NADRA reveal staggering figures for 2008 general election.
Fake votes %age
- 65 per cent in Balochistan
- 62 per cent in FATA
- 54 per cent in Sindh
- 43 per cent in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa
- 41 per cent in Punjab.

ISLAMABAD: Balochistan had the highest rate of fake voters during the 2008 general election, according to findings from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

A glance at statistics from the province do not reflect well on the electoral process. In Killa Abdullah there were total of 387,823 registered voters and only 70,820 could be verified. In Kech, of the 218,953 registered voters only 84,500 were legitimate. In Loralai there were 226,658 registered voters, of which a meagre 52,657 could be verified. Of Jaffarbabad’s 391,608 registered voters, only 98,919 were not bogus.
The legitimacy of our current government has been severely questioned by recent findings that almost half of the entries in voter lists at the last election were fake.
The startling facts emerged as the ECP and NADRA were preparing new voter lists based on computerised national identity cards (CNICs). Discrepancies emerged between the electoral rolls used for last general election and succeeding by-polls held so far.

The official documents, copies of which are available with The Express Tribune, reveal serious flaws in the electoral system used in the 2008 general election. Among the 81.2 million voters registered, 37 million were either ghost voters, multiple entries or the voter was registered without any authentic proof of identity. The figures for dubious entries were as follows: 65 per cent in Balochistan, 62 per cent in FATA, 54 per cent in Sindh, 43 per cent in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and 41 per cent in Punjab.

The 2007 electoral rolls were an updated version of lists compiled by the ECP for elections held in the 90s and 2002.
Larkana
Statistics from around the country are alarming. Larkana, the hometown of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, had 484,727 fake entries against 240,762 genuine registered voters who could be verified. The town had a total of 725,489 registered voters.
Multan

The district of Multan, from where Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s stalwart Makhdoom Javed Hashmi were elected to the National Assembly, had 1.16 million bogus entries out of a total 2.2 million registered voters.
Karachi

Karachi had more seats than any other city in the national and provincial legislatures, and a total of 6.6 million registered voters. Only 3.9 million could be verified. A glaring 2.7 million entries had been fake.
Lahore

Similarly, Lahore, Pakistan’s second largest city and capital of most populous province Punjab, had a total of 3.7 million registered voters. Among them 2.1 million have been declared genuine and the remaining 1.6 million could not be verified.

Islamabad, the capital and considered the most developed city in the country, was not free of electoral fraud. Out of the total 482,548 registered voters, 153,965 were bogus entries. Peshawar had a total of 1.2 million registered voters. Of these, 610,197, just over half, were fake. Quetta had a total of 652,799 registered voters. Among these, 323,837 could not be verified as genuine registered voters.

The findings make uneasy reading for the incumbent national and provincial legislatures. The electoral system has been uncovered as falling well short of fair democratic standards.

guys if you have not registered your vote yet, please get it done as early as possible... this is your National responsibility and right of your country that demands you to be pro-active in maintaining a good system of governance in the country...:pakistan:

okay, people might not know the fact. If one member of your family registers then people associated with you i.e your 18+ plus kids, siblings, wife, or parents will be automatically registered for voting by NADRA
