Perhaps Pakistan could give US lessons? Wonder how Osama bin Laden got past Pakistani security. Or how certain Pakistani territory is under the control of other than the Pakistani government. The greater the freedoms the greater the insecurity. If we give people the freedoms they demand, we are incompetent. If we impose the necessary measures to improve and secure ourselves, we are tyrants. Make up your minds.

This thinking of people like you is a tragedy for America.Alas! what a miserable story what a shame...

ANOTHER NIGHTMARE INFLICTED ON THE VERY PEOPLE TSA IS PAID TO PROTECT

TSA security officers at Florida’s Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport patted down a cancer-stricken, 95-year-old woman and forcibly removed her adult diaper during the search, CNN reports. Could this end up being yet another TSA PR nightmare?

Jean Weber was traveling with her ill mother on June 18 from Florida to Michigan to see relatives “in the final stages of her battle with leukemia” when the incident occurred.

Weber told CNN that while she thinks the officers may have been “procedurally correct…the procedure needs to be changed.” Weber noted that her mother had had a blood transfusion the week before.

A Suspiciously “Wet and Firm” Diaper

While passing through security, TSA officials “felt something suspicious and they couldn’t determine what it was,” so they took Weber’s mother to a private room.

A TSA agent told Weber that her mother’s Depends underwear was “wet and firm and they couldn’t check it thoroughly,” so the mother-daughter duo left in search of a bathroom to remove the underwear. Weber did not have an extra pair of Depends with her.

Weber “burst into tears” but her mother was “very calm” even though she was forced to go through the airport without underwear. Her elderly mother elderly taken to the boarding gate without her as Weber was still going through security.

TSA Defends Search

In response to the incident, the TSA said on Sunday that “While every person and item must be screened before entering the secure boarding area, TSA works with passengers to resolve security alarms in a respectful and sensitive manner. We have reviewed the circumstances involving this screening and determined that our officers acted professionally and according to proper procedure.”

This isn’t the first time the TSA has gotten into hot water over pat down procedures. In April, a video of a 6-year-old getting a pat down at the New Orleans airport went viral, while in May, a video of a baby getting a pat down caused quite a stir.

"Islamic extremist"

What else are they supposed to say when Mumtaz Qadri proclaims to have done it for the sake of Islam?

If he had done it for any reason unrelated to the religion, they wouldn't have used that term.

mumtaz kadri did what he thought not what islam thought

what if we label all hindus extremists as bhartiya hindu extremists after what happened in gujrat??

guys its usa, a world power, they have the right to do anything,

they call themselves champions of democracy, bs.

When I hear about these kind of discrimination against Muslims and Pakistanis, it makes me more proud of being Pakistani Muslim and wanting to tell everyone I am Pakistani Muslim.

I hope that Taseer guy gets millions out of that racist airline.

I don't think it is fair to blame entire American nation or even individual corporations for a few individuals' mistakes--and mistakes they most probably are. No doubt--when extremely prominent leaders like McCain or GW Bush liberally use 'Islamofascism' then population can be influenced. But there is no gain for an airline to intentionally humiliate their customers.

An apology is in order from the airline in question.

Let's not get carried away in making this another 'Clash of Civilizations'.

There are indeed many in America who thrive on wars. They hurt Americans themselves--and Americans know the 'Military Industrial Complex' in increasing numbers. But there are indeed a chunk of Muslims who, frankly, should better stay back in their burqah-clad hell-holes instead of being clandestine agents for some of the most inflexible and primitive brands of 'Islam'. They are capable of much harm. They are the unwitting tools of the neo-cons.

That is not a very good argument. If you demand that we detain the bin Laden family based purely upon name association, then it would be eminently logical to perform profiling based upon other factors such as citizenship, skin color, and religion.

Have you not already done that in Gitmo? Many were people arrested just because they were in Afghanistan.

Well Oldman1 has a valid point ..... the redneck Christians are the most ridiculed group in the US.... even more than Muslims.

Check out this picture that clearly illustrates the obnoxious level of racial/religious profiling that occurs every day in the U.S.!

This picture comes to mind. Notice how the guy with beard and the cap, got pulled over for "random checking",. This is in Pakistan mind you, if it had happened in some western country it would make the headlines.

Call it racial profiling, call it facial hair profiling:lol:, it exists and exists for a reason. Better be safe than sorry.

How many of the terrorists caught or who have done terrorist activities in the US, have had full flowing beards and wore a cap ?
