Newsweek on Americans: How Dumb Are We?

When the next Intel or Google comes out of China, I'd be impressed. Maybe it'll happen soon, maybe not. What Chinese commies on this forum dont get is that intellectual property profits is worth 100 times more than manufacturing profits. And only very few people in the US, Europe, China or India can capitalize on their IPs. The rest have to work very hard to get rich. And that hard working has happened in the US, Europe, China and India. So, I dont know why the Chinese commies here have a sense of superiority, when the real rich people in all these countries and many more have found a way to get there.

With all due respect. Real "Commies" don't exist in China anymore, it is dead and buried inside Mao's coffin. The age old term "Chinese Commies" persist to exist only in the minds of pathetic westerners and the ill-informed. I guess speaking foul of others helps ease the pain of your rapidly declining country and lack of education?

If you are speaking of 10+ years ago, then yes people may care a about coming to America. Nowadays the west are in decline and everything is heading East. The times have changed and I feel sorry for the ones who is still dreaming of prosperity returning to the West.
The West never quite recovered from the global financial crisis and are in such a bad state that developing countries such as Brazil, Russia, India and China are rapidly growing and elapsing them. You had your chance to shine but now it is the others turn, and you better start getting used to it my friend.

Back on to the topic - Here is a perfect living example of what the topic is about:

Do you realize what sort of company Intel is, what sort of company Google is, how they're completely different types of business models, and that the only thing in common is that maybe, they have something to do with a computer but otherwise require totally different expertises?
I know a little bit about Intel from an outsider to an insider perspective. What do you know about Intel?

It is not google, where a few people can have an idea and do something. Intel is a capital intensive, high entry barrier, near monopoly. Google is a software startup that has low entry barrier and is nowhere near a monopoly. The 2 just cannot be compared, its like comparing Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Pizza Hut!

Not as much of a joke as someone (yourself) who thinks that "India is powerful enough to start its own United Nations".

But anyway, if you want to underestimate us then that is great. Just keep borrowing more money from us, while your adopted country (US) continues to decline under the weight of a 14 trillion debt and the biggest trade deficit on the planet.

Just keep spending. :azn: Your adopted government is already addicted to the loans, they won't even cite us as currency manipulators.

So you think our debt levels are going up when they are actually falling? Like I said Communist propagandists and their ignorance never fails to amuse. The thinking that whatever you say will be accepted per se without debate can be assumed by one and only one entity in the world - brainwashed, red shirts. I see that economic liberalism has not yet made the Chinese want to question things and work for a more equitable and just society. Stand up man and speak up. Time is too short to stay too mute a spectator.

So, Google with all its data servers is not capital intensive? Its not as capital intensive as Intel but it sure is extremely capital intensive. If it was all about just variable software costs, another wannabe would have taken over half the search market by now. Google is so hardware intensive that they have their own solar power plants to supply energy to their data centers. Neeed moooore anaaalysis than making statements and thinking that others would accept them blindly. Chinese must understand that people like to debate in freer societies with points and counterpoints and then arrive at a reasonable conclusion. Then we respect the view of the dissidents as well. All new to the communist mindset but I am hopeful that economic liberalism will ultimately get the shackled masses to question more and live freer and make the right decisions in terms of labor laws, environment etc. The vestiges of the last iron curtain of this world must be brought down to make the world a better place.

The US is a hollow military dictatorship run on "protection money" extracted by its thugs overseas.

The Wall Street mafia state uses the military as its private enforcers, silencing dissent within and looting overseas.

The education system of the US encourages people to not think and to blindly obey the Wall Street mafia regime.

Blind hate, and shallow analysis. I really do not know, why I am caring to comment on it.

At least Americans care to question, their own intelligence. The Chinese act like they are know it alls, and Indians never even accept they are wrong. May be they are not as insecure as Asian societies.

A foul-mouthed, Jingoist, internet troll--truly a scion of a "free society".

These kinds of consistent blind statements show that the Chinese propaganda machine is in steroid mode. Further shows how much stranglehold the Chinese PR machine has on its masses and the effort they put in to stifle thought leadership and encourage debate/dissent. The foolish way in which Chinese members articulate here assuming that they wont be called out for debate or dissented upon arguably shows a callous nature to kowtow the communist party line, despite making assertions to the contrary. One thing that is made in China I wont buy for sure: "thought leadership and debating skills". Well, there are the other things as well: lead contaminated dry walls and milk.

One more transplant trying to spread the virtues of Red China in more liberal societies. Oh...and once again unable to comprehend what is written and what is said.

so is the Chinese Canadian Brigade. Constant propping up of China and tearing down of US (which Canadian economy is directly plugged into). Spare me the the gospel of freedom, virtue and morality.

Nothing more than shallow vitriolic racist rant. You pretend to knowledge and freedom, but all your analysis shows is ignorance and racism. Have you considered that when someone disagrees with you, he/she might have a genuine difference of opinion? Yet you sweep all that under the carpet by claiming that China practices brainwashing against its citizens. That is absolutely untrue. The censors eliminate contents in the media that are terrorist, separatist, pornographic, and unhealthy behaviors like smoking.

You are a perfect example of the ignorant American the article bemoans. Learn to understand foreign countries, beyond the shallow news bites you see on Fox TV.

An American and an Indian--a imperialist master and an imperial slave.

Oh Dear... the Brigade fires its racist battery... this was the guy preaching a mortal about RACISM.

To quote you "A foul-mouthed, Jingoist, internet troll".

I have every right to call out racism when I see it. You're the one starting the racist comments. Let's get a few examples, shall we?

Just on this page alone, Veritas spouted all these racist garbage:

At least Americans care to question, their own intelligence. The Chinese act like they are know it alls, and Indians never even accept they are wrong. May be they are not as insecure as Asian societies.
