I am talking about an Indian who was born,brought up in India who them moved to the US and got a green card.

He will remain an Indian culturally though legally he will be a US citizen. He will never become an American culturally. Maybe two or three generation later they can, but he can never be.

What is racist in this ? And why bring skin color into this. ?

The Chennai high court on Friday issued a notice to Congress party spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan, acting on an affidavit seeking direction to probe a Rs 300 crore scam involving her. Natarajan is a Congress Member of Parliament from Tamil Nadu.


The affidavit alleges that Natarajan facilitated a sizeable bank loan from Vijaya Bank [ Get Quote ] by misusing her links with the Union government.

Natarajan is also under legal scrutiny for allegedly owning 688,300 square feet of newly constructed area, along with 40 per cent of a plot sprawling over 15.17 acres on the outskirts of Chennai.

The income accrued from renting out this land is close to Rs 30 crore per annum, the petition added.

More importantly, why does it matter? We pride ourselves to be a multicultural society. You're a Tamil, I'm a Punjabi. You might have more in common with her than with me . why does her Italian upbringing matter?

Having a green card means you are a permanent resident of the USA, but not the citizen!

US citizens have american passports - like the one I have.

It does in a big way when she is ruling a country as India where she was not born, and still holds Italian citizenship.
Me as an Indian for example dont qualify for the post of mayor in any city of Italy, be it Milano or Rome.
That is why she was refused PM post.

yes we need to look at things more than technicality.though i don't have problem in sonia gandhi becoming PM..my opinion would have been different if she was chinese or pakistani origin(or any other person )..because she/ he is the person who is going to access all top secrets of india including nuk button.
