CIA mulls targeting Pak diplomats abroad: report

Oh please, CIA can't even finish illiterate tribal cavemen in Afghanistan, what makes you think CIA can finish a professional sophisticated strong intelligence agency of a nuclear power with the 5th largest army in the world.

what impact the strength of army, no of people in army or nuclear power have on capabilities of intelligence agency. mossad is supposed to be best in world. it doesnt have largest army or largest arsenal of nuclear arms.

jus think be fore writing mate. i agree ISI is a stong intelligence agency but u r logic of including terms like nuclear power and fifth largest army falls flat.

we need to realize that cia and american,s ambitions are beyond war on terror ... their main aim is deprive PAKISTAN from nuclear power at any cost.
it is proved beyond doubts that mr davis was working for cia and was in contact with militants in south waziriztan , so it all points about american double game.
we are blammed as hypocrites but actual hypocrite is america who is actually trying to destabilize and divide PAKISTAN so as to achieve her goals.
all those american lover PAKISTANIES should open their eyes and need to read between lines that america is our covert enemy ...
or if not enemy then surely not our friend and we need to secure our interests rather than securing american,s interests or plans..

it is fact america is strengthening india and RAW in afghanistan .we all know what are ambitions of raw there ...... simply to spread insurgency inside PAKISTAN by covertly supporting anti PAKISTAN militants both with money and weapons...............

I've kept away from these RD threads, but I've to ask those fellow Pakistanis we are depended on US but tell me, everytime such things happens some of the fella Pakistan rise up saying let him go its not in our interest, how long would we be doing this letting go each time?

At one point we talk about revolution with-in the rise of common man, we talk about Pakistan's potential success and on the other hand we let our selves roll in the feet of our vicious master. Is that the fate of every Pakistani in Pakistan? If that is so than those of you in favor of RD should not bash those we already hate pml, ppp, mqm, because if we are being fed in minds not to say a word or you'll invite wrath upon you than why would a common man rise against an already in-home masters whose wrath has consumed every Pakistan life for the past 2 decades or more..

It is pretty clear that after the release of RD sooner or later, US will strike at the core of Pakistan that we never have imagined, it would remind us of 65/71 no support/the punishment of pressler amendment, 98 sanctions, But we knew it would happen at one point of time.

Thats why i said else where in the world except this region.

What i meant was that CIA can allocate far more resource than ISI and because of their already spread spy network,ISI will have very very tough time operating. BTW i could not understand how 5th largest army and nuclear weapons will help in Spy game..??Can you please elaborate..?

even more severe sir............ any ways very very very well said ......... we need to get mature as a nation n why why we are so pessimistic , lets try to stand on our own bottom and try to implement policies that suits PAKISTAN and her peoples....

Hi,

This was messy from day one----pakistanis have chewed more than they can swallow---and all this talk of bravado by the members here what they will do is like a spray of foam.

I can tell you first hand---one of my relatives---an ssg was very active in afg during the russian war---I have posted it here before---he got an appointment of security to the embassy in poland----. When his dead body came back---it was in a sealed coffin that the family members were not allowed to open---some of his colleagues told the family---the russians picked him up and he was brutally tortured by them and killed.

This game of espionage is not a game that young pakistani can afford to play against the agency on a world class level---you neither have the discipline--- nor do you have the knowledge---you do not have the mettle---and the worst of all---you donot have character----you donot have any integrity either---.

The agency has just fired a blank---it has just fired a round against our bows---and has shaken the ISI---you act like spoilt foolish children---think that this world is in your servitude and you really are somebody---.

Some of you are bragging about how they can take the sanctions----well---pakistan never had real sanctions---they were just related to american defence equipment---once you get the economic sanctions---and you lose weight due to starvation and your pants fall down because you cannot afford to buy a rope to tie it down to the pants against your stomach and if you have children---they are dying in front of your eyes---because there is no milk---because there are no antibiotics----because the ear infection has spread and the pus is eating into their brains and they are howling in pain and you sit down in front of them with sightless eyes and empty expressions---.

I believe that most of you have no children of your own---I believe that most of you have never gone by a day where you didnot have enough food to eat at home----I am sure that neither one of you have suffered because there was no pain medicine available from lahore to multan---i am sure that most of you are full of hot air---pi-ss and vinegar.

Bottomline---pakistan has made a point---. That is all that is needed----in the next step after releasing Davis----they can focus on the 'illegals'---the contractors---the mercenaries---once the secret is out and they find out that they are being looked at---most of them will depart.

Whatever happens----america doesnot like it when a poor country dependant upon it wants to set up an example.

So many of you wanted to make a vietnam of the americans in afg in 2002---afg has already seen it what it feels like to make a vietnam of america----but pakistan---you are just barely feeling the first blast of the heat.

Nawaz Sharif is an imbecile---he was an imbecile---you people already know that very well---and knowing what that duffer can do---you people are again falling for his shenanigans----.

Some of you who have seen NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC---know that the LION by nature is a coward that can hardly hunt its own meal---while the hyena on the other hand is a brave brave animal---hunting in teams which can snatch the food away from the lions.

So---those of you who have bragged about LIVING LIKE A LION FOR ONE DAY AND NOT LIKE A JACKAL FOR A HUNDRED YEARS have been living in a fools paradise hich was invented before the onslaught of national geographics.

Even the isi is extremely concerned---at first it were the the PPP members who had bashed them all over the world during Musharraf's regime---now it is the pak public that wants to put their lives in jeopardy worldwide----.

Kids----don't your parents tell you to think with your brains and not with your feet.

Again,
There is no treatment of chronic fear.

But is there a choice for Pakistan, atleast in this very moment ? Please dont post stuff like we can withstand sanction etc etc. None of our countries (Indo Pak) has seen the true effect of the sanctions which the US is still capable of putting if Pakistan goes too far in posturing. And I am talking about economic sanctions, not military ones.

It will be very hard for the US to legitimize sanctions onto Pakistan. Holding a CIA operative for double murder is not exactly the yardstick of evil in this world. It doesn't mean they won't be imposed indirectly, but official UN sanctions seem unlikely. In any case, it is possible to survive, especially with the help of China and Muslim countries.

Little ol' Cuba has done just fine, but Pakistan does not have the kind of leadership it takes to achieve such miracles.

wen have indian govt gone according US wishes and not followed our own interests. can u give us some examples.

My point was that we are expecting the same behavior you would demand from your government.

I ask you.

Do you have another option?

The options are limited, I agree. Certainly on the Davis front.

But the wider issue of cooperating with CIA needs to be revisited.

This is not 2001. The US govt. does not have public opinion, both American and global, on its side giving it a blank check to bully everyone into cooperation. Any offensive against Pakistan, military or economic, will need to be justified.

This is the dark side of democracy. A dictator may act on whim, but a democratic government needs to do some ground work first and cultivate public opinion. Fake reports have to be generated by purpose-built commissions. Rigged polls have to be conducted. Media brainwashing needs to be instituted. And, in the worst case, spectacular false flag operations have to be conducted to prepare the public for the offensive.

Guess what...All blames comes upon ISI political wing, we raised monsters who chewed Pakistan and its good name and readied these monsters to become servants of US.

There doesn't have to be direct sanctions. There is a case brought in the U.S. against the present & former ISI chiefs and against the ISI itself along with chaps like Hafeez Saeed. Maybe, the next time your guys leave Pakistan, they may have to consider whether a warrant by a U.S. court might be waiting for them.

hehhehehehhehehe........................... indians :sniper:

One cannot fear the Americans all the time..
yet one cannot jump in thumping chests.
The US cannot.. get out of their quagmire in Afghanistan without us..
They are already having nightmares of another vietnam with a Laos behind it.. In this case.. at least they have some say in this Laos(Pakistan).
If they break it off with us..sanction us.. are people assuming that the conditions in Afghanistan will stay the same..
that the ISI doesnt hold clout anymore in Afghanistan?

Funny.. that people assume the CIA as some god..
it is an intelligence agency.. a well established one.. but not one without flaws.. many of them.
If they want to play dirty because we just caught an asset red handed..
They have another thing coming..
Sanctions.. yes.. horrible stuff..
but whether they will risk them .. at the cost of increased losses in Afghanistan.. and even a military engagement with us..
unlikely..

Its our government that needs to mix courage with brains..
unfortunately..
our awam is too busy with jingoism, thinking from their heart.. that has the government cowering from both sides.
who to obey.. the people that you were supposed to feed.. or the people that feed you..?

The davis case is the best opportunity to convey in no uncertain terms to the Americans.. for the lack of a better phrase ; you are your allies..not our masters.
We have laws.. in this case.. Mr Davis's recorded testimony puts him with an ambiguous status.. our courts will confirm his immunity.. till then.. he is ours... and you will sit in the waiting room of the court like every other citizen for the decision on it...period.
