What's new

Japan's July seafood exports to China down 23% on blanket radiation testing

Lol again, I really don't care if the water is discharged near Singapore's coast or not.
I know you don't care, you are a weird one, but do the majority of Singaporean population care?
Do you think China is the only country that worries?

Thousands of protesters in Seoul protest Japan's release of radioactive water from Fukushima

No, we don't. Again, read the threads I posted. These two forums are the most popular forums in SG.

There are several Singaporean posters even in PDF, do you think you can even speak for them?

No, I don't. But surely our government has sufficient authority to represent us?

I said many times, if Japan dumps the nuclear waste to Singapore coast instead of China's and Korea's, we'll be more than happy to keep our mouths shut and see how you enjoy it. It's always easy to make light hearted comments when the trouble is far away.

It's Japanese document, the authencity is a big question, and What China should do or not can be in a different discussion, here the thread is about Japanese nuclear waste discharge. All countries discharge some industrial waste water to the sea, even Japan is no exception, but not every country discharges nuclear waste into the oceans.
You can't argue because conventional weapons all together kill more people than nuclear weapons so it should be free for countries to use nuclear weapons in a war. it's a terrible precedent.

China discharged nuclear waste to the sea? if so, Japan has every right to protest against China. I have no objection to this right of Japan.

I wish to see if in the future Malaysia pours nuclear waste around Singapore and how Singaporeans would like it.

I can even make a video like it.
it's about principles,

So...

Why is China refusing an international verification framework for assessing the results of radiation level monitoring in treated water being released into the sea?

China should've joined and find out any wrongdoings, no?

Cause China knows it's a western tool, again, it's about principles, what if in the future every country starts to dispose nuclear waste by dumping them into the ocean just because Japan did it, and The Japan nuclear waste release will last for decades, who can tell for sure the long term effect on the ocean?

I wish to see if in the future Malaysia pours nuclear waste around Singapore and how Singaporeans would like it.

Everyone should stop the dumping process, if possible.

Scientists have pointed out that China’s own nuclear power plants release wastewater with higher levels of tritium than that found in Fukushima’s discharge, and that the levels are all within boundaries not considered to be harmful to human health.

If Russia releases Chernobyl nuclear contaminated water into the black sea, what do you think these same media will say? These are very misleading articles comparing regular cooling water to the contaminated water from a breached core. If Russia does the same, these media will certainly note the difference.
