Well shooting aren't new.
It has definitely never stopped millions of Chinese from moving to the US in the last few decades.

Besides every Chinese person I have ever talked to that became a citizen says shootings in the US are not even on their radar when it comes to comparing how bad it was back in China.

Then why less and less people went to US and more and more came back to China in recent years? I live in China I can honestly tell it becomes a big concern espcially among parents. True China was very poor barely 10 years ago but now things are changing, not overnight but we can clearly see the trend. It may take some time to wear off people's past fondness towards US but that old feeling harbored by old generations is fading fast in China now.
