Isn't the Pakistani army already picking up certain people and torturing them? Don't give us lectures on Pakistani army being some saviour of Pakistan. This is a dollar army. It's COAS collects medals abroad. It's COAS engineers regime change at the behest of nefarious powers. This army doesn't deserve praise. It deserves wrath. Your army has been providing tacit approvals to the Americans to strike it's own country. What kind of an army does this? Now you are here to shed crocodile tears on behalf of an army that is engineering more BS to earn dollars at the expense of dead Pakistanis.

Crackpot meter at high!
Not sure why you are calling this "crackpot". It was a very well informed and sober analysis. In no case did he say PK Army is trying to engineer a war. What he said was given the economic implications, there might be a rush to planning for a US funded operation/war. That Pakistan ought to be very careful before undertaking such an adventure. That it will have severe implications on Pakistan on a number of fronts. And that there is a general cavalier and engineered motion to build consensus for a war on TTP and even on Afghan Taliban, with cross border actions.

I think his views give us some food for thought and ought not to be outright dismissed, but discussed.

Bro these idiots keep posting outrageous threads to get attention for themselves … I don’t show mercy to such morons .

We will split Pakistan in half. You can keep Sindh and Punjab with the Pakistani army. LOL PPP and PML-N can rule in Punjab and Sindh for the rest of their miserable existence.

Falcon yaar - it is a bitter pill to swallow but Dalit is right on a number of fronts and those of us who care about this institution need to fight to bring back some institutional spine.

Pakistan Army has a system of financial, social and bureaucratic patronage that no other institution comes even close to. The intrigues, and political machinations are seeped into the institution's history from day one. Just look at the first Idiot who came to power by subverting the constitution - Sikander Mirza. He was a General Officer of the Pakistan Army (though retired). He subverted the constitution, imposed a martial law and hence began the saga of Pakistan's sordid constitutional history. This man's shenanigans with another diplomat's wife (Iranian) should shame all of us. He was also about to sell a part of Pakistan because he was too drunk in Persian love, and were it not for some good last minute spine from a few people we would have lost a part of Pakistan to Iran. Such men of low caliber have worked the corridors of power in Pakistan from day one. And that in large measure is why we find ourselves where we do.

Pakistan's army as an institution is part of our national fabric and no one should question its importance and criticality. What we must be careful of and always be on a lookout for is when such institutions come into the hands of men who consider their personal interests primary over the institution and national interests.

Pakistan Army's leadership has time and time again funneled money meant for righteous war fighting purposes from foreign donors, to personal kitties. This reached significant proportions during the first Afghan war, and continues to present day. It permeates from border smuggling to Ranger funds in Sindh to farm lands for lease (I can go on and on). This deep seeded financial slush is what is corrupting the institution to its core, and something all of us who care about our institution need to be very worried about. I gave only the three examples above as I am personally and directly aware of these three. There are numerous other areas like industrial units, banking, land allotments, etc., where I dont have direct examples but are also well know for their corruption.

JAG is neutered - and unless the army gets some awakening and makes JAG a strong independent body and cleans house, I am afraid things will continue down this slide.

Dont worry TTP will split your family in a way you will not be able to even remember their new last names …

You talk about splitting Pakistan so casually. We have millions of lives to get Pakistan and some parasite like yourself has balls to talk so casually anout breaking it …. You must have been a creation of some RSS thug…

It all started after Pakistan blocked Chaman border when Taliban started removing border fences. THEY unleashed TTP on us.
Stupid Pakistani people can't understand as blinded by the grudge against Army.
Slightly getting there.

The chain is rattled like this :
>USA leaves the region keeping intel and surveillance assets behind.
>Taliban takeover while the whole world watches and lets them take over with minute to minute news reporting.
>Pakistan knows the implication but tries to make deal with Taliban against TTP and fails.
>Taliban give lip service to Pakistan against TTP.
>TTP tries to gain foothold in Pakistan.
>USA knows how TTP has been strengthened but USA goes after Taliban, not TTP.
>USA wants to go after Taliban but proposes options to Pakistan for taking action citing Taliban supporting TTP.
>USA starts putting offers on the table for Pakistan. This could be a repeat of Mushy's era with few differences.

I agree with some of your points and there is always a way and manner to discuss issues.

This is why education is so important. One cannot be articulate and well mannered in expressing their opinion when they either lack education or were brought up like trash.

You have my new spect for eloquently presenting your point.
