T20 World Cup 2022

not complaining as long as they're winning test series overseas

Not talking about ODI and test, here now...

They are not suitable for T20 matches.... they can only play sometimes fearless against small reputation teams or home series.

England only knows the template to play T20 matches... sometimes they will lose but most of the times, they will win the matches within 6 overs and the rest will be formality.

Congrats to Pakistan for coming to finals from almost hopeless situation.

I sincerely hope Indians will stop their unmitigated adoration of their at best mediocre movie and cricket stars after such shameful performances.

Our bowling saved us from being completely humiliated like India was.

Absolutely spot on. This paltry score cannot be defended in T20. The bowling still bowled really well to make it competitive.

Yes, I predicted the same, it would have been even closer if not for the Shaheen injury.

The solution to our batting is having people that can control their nerves in the beginning of the batting, the problem is always nerves and pressure which Babar and Rizwan are crushed by, unless they hit a few shots and their confidence goes through the roof.

I think this is partially why they are better at chasing, our bowling settles their nerves and puts confidence into the team overall.

Bring in Mohammad Haris as a permanent opener perhaps, he has nerves of steel and with a few good hits in the beginning he will remove pressure from the rest of the team.

Bowlers naturally don't suffer from too much nerves because they have multiple chances to redeem themselves after being hit for a 4 or 6. Also Pakistani bowlers are full of confidence already.
Agreed.

Pakistani side is not lacking in quality players - skills wise.

But Pakistani batsmen struggled on this pitch due to pressure. Reason might be what you pointed out.

I credit Babar Azam for managing to control his nerves and preventing a batting collapse. It could be much worse if Babar had not clicked.

Recall collapse of Pakistani side led by Wasim Akram against Australia in the Final of a 50 overs World Cup? This Pakistani side was VERY STRONG but buckled under intense pressure. Australians are credited for having nerves of steel on the other hand.

Of course they will they are Indians, and why would they ever even support UK a country thats brutally looted and massacred their ancestors for 200 years

What even after living here for years?

It is sensible to respect the country that host you and feed you. Point is not to be a thankless hypocrite.

They won't because your social political environment is run by people who think they're competent but they aren't.

They are feeding a false sense of superiority to Indians which simply has no ground in reality, and when reality presents itself it crushes Indians where they'll become extremely unlikeable to everyone, not just Pakistanis, and even create conspiracy theories and outright lies to support their beliefs.

Can be seen in pretty much everything from sports to military discussions. India superpower narrative has turned their brains into a pile of mud.

Pride should only be sourced from things which have a place in reality otherwise you will regularly embarrass and delude yourself. And hate, even though it serves an intended purpose in the Indian context, should be done in a controlled manner where you aren't making yourself look like a bitter maniac to everyone you encounter.

Both things which the opposite are happening hence you have the Indian population.

can anyone tell how many matches Pakistan won if they lost toss vs if they win toss

I unironically believe Pakistan will, or has a high chance, to dominate world cricket in the future.

Reason being is because Ramiz Raja has identified the batting problem and realises we need fierce aggressive batters with nerves of steel. His solution was the junior league and those boys look promising, fierce and aggressive in both batting and bowling, while also mixing with foreign players which allows them to get used to it earlier.

No point of skills if you collapse under pressure, players like Babar and Rizwan need something to reduce their pressure and push energy and confidence into them and the team.

This is usually done in two ways:

--We bowl first and that performance brings confidence and energy into the team overall, even a rocky start usually allows them to recover because less pressure/worry.

--They hit a few good shoots which brings confidence and puts them into the correct rhythm, but if it begins rocky that pressure continues to mount and crushes them, and it becomes a domino effect for other players, hence a collapse.

Skillful players but also those with nerves of steel will make our batting more consistent, especially if when batting first.

Alhamdulilah... A good way to lose... Bowlers played well but fielding and especially batting were weak...
Fielding was good, no runs leaked and no catches dropped, run-outs are always on chance

Always our batting letting down our bowling
I don't think there was an alternative other than Iftikhar after Shaheen's injury

What pressure?

There is no pressure when you are batting first. Its lack of confidence. They are very shaky players. They are not sure of their own abilities. PCB should make this a selection criteria.

There is a mental issue nit a physical or ability issue.
