I honestly don't believe China has any say in the political happenings within Pakistan, or at least as much as the US.

Militarily, economically, infrastructurally, China does have a huge influence, but not politically, yet.

What seems most likely is that the NCM will get taken back, Army will mediate that, and we will have new elections soon.

Why would this happen?

Even if the NCM goes through, IK will move heaven and hell and he won't let the government sit in peace.

The govt won't last either, and won't be able to bring any positive change to the country.

With the news about the letter as well, the establishment isn't exactly winning hearts and minds either.

Hence, the deal. Some concessions will be given to both parties, overseas voting, EVM, NAB, cases, etc etc. Let's see what the opposition asks, and what IK is willing to give.

He met Imran Khan dozens times in last months, did anything positive happen?

Kashif Abbasi said it right, there was sudden knee-jerk reaction when Dawnleaks scandal came up, now when there is proven foreign conspiracy and funding taking place openly, MNA's are being bought, US NGO's spending $$$ on our polticians.

National security of Pakistan is being targetted/compromised. Total silence from establishment.

It's the head of nuclear state we are talking about, and he too is elected with the genuine support of general public.
