Pakistan-US hold consultations over strategic defence dialogue: ISPR

you were once the only major strategic ally of usa in South Asia.
Your pursuing national interests left you at logger heads with usa.
gave India a chance to appease, usa win their favours .
bad move long term
once again you will.try to rebalance but you biggest issue China is usa main rival you can't keep feet in both camps
Not true, USA always coveted India, wanted it to be a partner (CETO & CENTO,) India Chose USSR but kept good relationship with USA.

US still desires PaK as Partnet, however it seems roles have changed. Pak is after good relationships with US and warmer with China.

Whether we like the US or not, it is not in our interest to make a foe out of it. We need to keep the US engaged without compromising on our core interests and thats what we are seeing.
US is supporting two like minded Nazi countries :Israel and India, a huge calamity is about to befall 200 Million Muslims in India and 10 Million Palestinians in Palestine. US have abandoned Afghanistan and the blowback will hit Pakistan hard. We need favoured trade and weapons deals to rebuild trust and move relations forward.

It is essentially the same balance equation which is to be maintained: keep Pakistan armed just enough to hold off India for a week or so while sustaining some damage and then intervene to stop the conflict and force negotiations.
Yep. On top of that, it'd also force us to always take on 'measured responses' to provocation and escalation.

In other words, we'd want to avoid the week-long fight so we can keep our supply of spares and weapons open. Weapons like the JF-17 and AZM can make us very unpredictable, much like Swift Retort.

Independent weapons systems and non reliance on USA is Americas worst nightmare as far as Pakistan is concerned.

Joe Biden appoints Indian-American Sumona Guha as senior Director for South Asia

Sumona Guha has also worked at the USIBC and, prior to that, in the Secretary of State’s Policy Planning Staff with responsibility for South Asia.
The Biden-Harris transition team announced the appointment of Indian American Sumona Guha to the role of Senior Director for South Asia at the National Security Council.
Ms Guha co-chaired the South Asia foreign policy working group on the Biden-Harris campaign, and was a member of the transition team. She will succeed the Trump administration’s Lisa Curtis in the role.
Ms Guha, a former Foreign Service officer, has been a Senior Vice President since mid-2018 at the Albright Stonebridge Group, whose chair is former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.

She has also worked at the U.S. India Business Council and, prior to that, in the Secretary of State’s Policy Planning Staff with responsibility for South Asia.
She was also a Deputy Director for Afghanistan Affairs in the Office of the Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan and has been a special advisor for National Security Affairs in the Office of the Vice President (during Mr. Biden’s tenure).
The transition team also announced other NSC appointments and roles, as part of Mr Biden’s restructuring of the Council, which will be headed by Jake Sullivan, who had said that Mr Biden had asked him to “reimagine” national security.
The new positions include Coordinator for Democracy and Human Rights (Shanthi Kalathil), Senior Director for Technology and National Security (Tarun Chhabra), Senior Director for Global Health Security and Biodefense (Elizabeth Cameron).

Kamala Harris, not Joe Biden. He will be an even more bitter snake than Trump because he has BJP links which are not public but covert. Pakistanis stupidly voted for him. When they should not have voted for anyone.

looks like america is in mood to use pakistan again. are we not learning lessons? check war on terror rate of casualty and open eyes. stay away from americans.

This US government is taking its last breaths. Trump in these last few hours is trying to score successes overseas to cover up the disastrous cock-up he has unleashed in the US. Hence Qatar Saudi rapprochement. Getting mid east countries to open up to Israel etc
Unfortunately for him the time is up, and a complete new team is taking over in a few days assuming he can survive article 25 or another impeachment next week.

One very bitter and unpopular question:
As of now Pakistani made bed sheets, underwear, mens, womens and kids clothing is being sold in Walmart, JC Penny's, Kmart etc.

How many Pakistani products are being sold in/to China?

This by no means is a lot of trade America is giving us. And yes America has hurt us a lot and has a very deep running Zionist agenda against Pakistan and other muslim nations.

But before you ban me or label me a US agent or Anti İron Brother agent

My main point is Pakistan/Pakistanis have to work really really hard to be independent from America, Habibis and China.

Our exports to China is 7%, around 2.something Billion USD while export to US is 16% around 3.9 Billion USD. İf China is our İron Brother shouldn't he give us more market share?

i doubt people at capital hill think that way

the new norm is humiliate Pakistan and force Pakistan to believe that any reaction is not in its interest

we saw the result, USA approval and acceptance of feb 2019 strikes
and
limitless bombing of Pakistan during 2008-2018

it is foolish to believe that USA wants to keep a balance of sort..

looking at history, USA released f16s and other weapons only when it had a big favor to ask, it had nothing to do with maintaining balance

had USA been interested in maintaining balance it would have released f16s in early 2000s, it didn't
@SQ8 I expect more Obama-style machinations with Biden, but with a focus on blunting AZM.

I don't think the US has an issue with the idea of a FGFA, but the risk of a heavyweight attacker (WS-10/WS-15-powered) is likely a concern.

It wouldn't surprise me if South Korea suddenly comes up one day and says, "we got US approval to sell you the KFX." This way, the PAF gets its NGFA (along Western lines no less), and the US still controls the weapons and upgrade supply-line, and all without letting go of its most sensitive technology in the F-35.
USA doesn't want Pakistan to go firmly in china camp and get the latest and greatest weapons from china

it wants a docile Pakistan to India and will therefore ask china and pressurize them to limit weapon supply, it will also try to get weapons from else where that are "good" enough but not enough to counter india(esp if china agrees to alternatives)

so if china has a good replacement chopper, u will see them allowing turkey for re export

the whole goal is a docile pakistan, with assumption that pakistan nukes are only for bluffing.. this is why feb 2018 strikes happened..

There is what the state department and other agencies recommended, then what the decision makers in the president and his advisers feel is correct - and what congressional subcommittees and their members feel is correct or are lobbies to see as; and then combined are the actions America takes based upon the decision makers agreement, disagreements and compromise that happens.

The Saudis are a good example of changing policies and decision makers, Pakistan will be affected by the same. Understand the system before condemning it(and its affects on yourself) to mere basic geopolitical sentiments.

pakistan needs to work and get into china import market, we failed to diversify
chian imports alot of stuff, we need to try to leverage into that market
we also need to focus on africa, the new frontier and Latin merica
