ISLAMABAD: Lahore’s Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Umar Sheikh, who has been facing criticism for his controversial remarks after the incident of gang rape on the motorway earlier this month, on Monday again blamed the woman claiming that she was travelling without seeking permission from her husband.
However, PPP’s Senator Krishna Kumari Kohli snubbed the police official over his comment and said he should not make such assumptions in future. She asked him whether the woman had told him that she was travelling without her husband’s permission. As the CCPO said it was his guess, the senator told him not to make such assumptions.

He stated facts about the case to a Senate Committee, that is not a blame. His statement below is factual amongst many other things he said to the committee, and this statement states the reason she travelled at such time.
The CCPO said the woman had started travelling at 1.30am as she had gone to Lahore without seeking permission from her husband and was returning home “due to the fear of her husband”.
This case is a test case as a lot of police officers are behind this culprit. His arrest would mean a lot of officers behind bars hence corrupt officers are hiding him or he may already be dead. Already this CCPO has jailed a few officers in other cases.

Do you know that media released names and pictures of the culprit (after DNA results got leaked to media) and another journalist tweeted the exact location of the next raid (where the culprit was hiding).
Media has a huge part in why the culprit is still not caught!
One culprit is in custody, what has been done till now, it's the same old court katcheri randi rona.

I have a suspicion that the atrocity is committed by the police personnel. the CPO Lahore came into the controversy right from the start making it suspicious. this Abid Ali guy might be irrelevant or a partner.
a friend of mine has served in Police and later practiced as well and he is certain that its the criminal elements within police who have done this and will be protected.

The capital punishment is not enough. Men in our country need to find a hobby other than sexualizing children/women all the time. Maybe sports can help. Get their minds off from such acts.
