this one was old engine and currently they are working with new engine i.e. WS10A with 100kn max thrust and i know link please find below

Guizhou WS-13 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi, right now there are too many unknowns and we do not know what engine might power future JF-17 versions. I have read reports of the WS-13 being used, then read reports saying the PAF is happy with the RD-93, and also some saying that the JF-17 is already using an upgraded higher thrust version of the RD-93. I guess time will tell.

how the MTBF ,life etc of WS-13 compare to other enhgines off the same category ?

such as

GTRE GTX-35VS Kaveri
General Electric F110
Pratt & Whitney F100
General Electric F414
Snecma M88
Klimov RD-33

RD-93MK with max 98KN thrust

Hi Mr Farhan_9909, if it is true that the JF-17 is using the RD-93MK version, that is very impressive. That is decent thrust, given 98KN = 22,031lbs of thrust, where 1lb = 4.448222N. Other than the picture by Klimov at Zuhai, has this been confirmed?

PAF uses indeed almost 100kN full AB thrust Klimov. With the ordnance at the moment that is perfect. More is nice but there needs to be an optimum which includes many parameters like fuel usage, weight/thrust, maintanance, drag penalties and a lot more. E.Q. do we need mach 2.2 instead of 1.8? Lots of people find that important. Well, F18 has the same max speed. And when/where do you need mach 2.2? Only if you are intercepting bombers in an huge empty space. Not in the PAk-India front. Pakistan has no depth and you do not want to go supersonic with all those radars and sams. Besides that you need runup time to get mach 2.2 and altitude to have less drag/friction.

What is important is that there will be option to add CFT and dual racks (with more or bigger load) if you have more thrust. I have checked the electronics of the JF17. It is much more modern and open source then any other plane. So it will grow much faster to smaller and lighter equipment then any other plane. So there will be lots of room for other usage.

Understand the life of USA & French engine is closer to 4,000 hours. Russain & Chinese life being nearly half means life cycle maintenance cost of Soviet & Chinese fighters is considerably more. Can anyone with first-hand knowledge of engines confirm this?
