Truth is Pakistan has added new aircraft in JF 17s but you cannot expect it to do everything. The harder truth is, it never needed the numbers of JF 17s it has produced. It needed a different class of fighters that were even a class above F-16s or at the bare minimum more of F-16s.
LCA, JF17 are all MIG 21s of today without the reputation of MIG21. In short, the more responsibilities one adds on these restricted aircrafts, the lesser capabilities is what one will achieve.

The truth to the matter is that the JF17 is not a MIG21 class fighter---. Mig 21 is an obsolete aircraft.

It is a part of a new class of fighters that started with the Saab Grippen---with the ability to launch BVR missiles---smart bombs---anti ship missiles---and other standoff weapons.

A mig21 never ever dreamed of being even 1/10 that capability---.

Smaller aircraft with extremely potent BVR missile capability---low maintenance---extremely quick turn around time---and the most important factor---extremely extremely short spool up time for the engine---.

How short of a start up and take off time---if a JF17 at chaklala airport and an su30 at srinagar airport started their engines at the same time--the JF17 would take off and be at the top of the sri nagar airport almost at the time the SU30 is about to take off---.

In the modern warfare and modern day BVR missiles---

The kill ratio of these BVR missiles is extremely high---. I used to state that on this board over 12 years ago and all the pakistani TT and mods would make sarcastic comments at me---and the super studs would give examples of failure of BVR missiles some 50 years ago in vietnam---and one of them is a doctor I believe and a highly regarded TT member----he has developed a habit---that after what I stated 3-4 years ago---he now posts those comments as his own---even though he don't read my current comments---.

Now all these TT's and mods are talking about the first shot first kill BVR capability---.

So---indeed modern BVR missiles are a totally different breed---.

Now that the pakistani menhave learnt that the JF17 may be able to launch a longer range and more potent BVR missile at the opponent---suddenly they all have become believers of the BVR game---hypocrites---.

Jf was a dud when it faced j11 a Chinese copy of su27. So every one knows it's fate

Yeah it's hard to clear JF-17's debris once they fall of the sky the moment they enter into our airspace. Ofcourse it's a serious threat to our Swach Bharat abhayan

Mki can fire 2-4 bvr against each jf and in wvr you have already accepted the results so no need to talk about that...

i m not insultung MKI but you guys alway told your MkI as a raptor of the east, as for comparesion both 50/50 in bvr arena i repeat bvr arena mki should come closer to track/ engage JF-17 lets say 140 km, where our JF-17 will detect MKI with relatively at long ranges (KLJ-7v-2 max range is 140 km) lets say 120 KM good chance for JF-17 for destroying MKI early before MKI fires its BVR @aman_rai0007
