With aircraft chocks in place to stop the Indian Air Force's LCA Tejas aircraft from rolling down, why is it left tied to a weight of concrete block. Surely a jet weighing some 6500 Kgs will not just blow away.

ergo - lack of faith in the only part of that plane that is indigeneous - ie the braking system ? :p: ... lol ..

Tie down’s are common into concrete for many jets - must be a windy(pun intended) area which can cause fighters to roll. That being said, it is a piss poor job of tieing down an aircraft - it has to be fully taut to ensure no movement.
Here it looks like

well

“kissi gadhe ko bandha howa hai”

Maybe the Indians have taken the Russian Generals comment of ''Cows in the cockpits'' to heart.

Question: Why Do Indians Tie Down Their Tejas Aircraft Like a Cow??

Answer: Because it is Cash COW that keeps giving cash to all the corrupts in Indian Government. So they keep it tied down just in case it decides to fly away in disgust !!!

A 747 dancing in winds. Empty weight of this bird is 1,85,000 Kg.

Lol now you are comparing a 60 feet tall 747 with a 10 feet high Tejas.
Simple maths......where do you have danger of getting blown away.....standing on the ground or on top of a 50 feet tall building......besides apart from aircraft on carrier decks or the Cessna types on the ground, I haven't seen a fighter jet tied down like a Donkey as in OP.

You don’t appear to be the foremost authority that you are trying to portray by giving examples of donkeys.
Wind speed over an aerodynamic surface is what matters. It can reach a figure even few feet above the ground and move an aircraft. Had you googled the matter you would have come across it in adequate details. Your eyesight seemed to have dimmed temporarily just a few posts above, wherein you couldn’t spot an inverted F-16 over another one in an area that doesn’t appear to be an aircraft carrier to me.
Since you are only interested in trolling, there isn’t any use explaining it to your likes. I don’t have any examples of donkeys to explain it to you.
