Poor Pakistan Producing Third Generation Tanks!

PA needs to get rid of the carousel loading mechanism, with one hit it tries to put the crew into the earth's orbit

You know I am as big a critic (now) of the Army as anyone else, but these threads should be limited to technical discussions/questions about the system, its acquisition and deployment tactics etc.

Raising questions about the effectiveness of the system in potential future conflicts is completely valid, as are questions about the trials, cost etc. but lets leave politics out of it unless there is a credible source that you can reference regarding corruption, bribes, kickbacks etc in the acquisition process.

Right. In any case, my post has already been deleted by some Mod.😊

Well, yes and no.
Russia's tank usage is definitely very poor, and they are using them wrong. You're supposed to project power via infantry and then place artillery and air defence platforms ahead. Tanks are only then able to move forward, otherwise they'll be picked off easily by smaller drones and loitering munitions, as seen in Ukraine.
And when tanks do push forward, they should push as a column. A Combined force is combined strength
True. That's why I said " tactics" are critical.

Tanks are obsolete. See Ukraine. better to focus on hypersonic tech.

Please get your head checked or research how the ukrainians are deploying there tanks vs russia.

Russia literally deploys its tank in BTGs without amy sort of infantry support. They dont think of tanks as independant units but as groups with multiple tanks. This sort of thinking is inflexible. In war each and every situation is changing by the second. A single tank can react to every situation independantly.

That is just one example. Another example is that Russians literally sent their armour in with an assumption that they would just roll upto Kiev overnight. They didnt even expect rpg strikes back let alone drone/javelin stikes.

Whereby Ukraine have used tanks extensively throughout their Kherson and Kharkiv offensive. The difference? Ukrainan tank units were backed extensively with infantry. Pretty much infantry units would scout out infront of tanks to remove any atgm teams and ambushes. Then the tanks would follow behind. Pakistani army employed alzarrars/t69s in a similar fashion during their offensive against the ttp few years back.

Again there are many many videos on youtube and twitter that have looked into russian employment of tanks. Try not to waste peoples time or energy having to explain all this to a newbie when theres so much open source info out there.

@Goenitz Bro,Oerlikon guns with armor? You mean stationary Oerlikon batteries in fortified positions or something like the Gepard?

If idiocy had a face 👆

The point is in last 20 years these brand new tanks were not even used in the western front.

We have been using alzarrar and t59s. A year ago the army bought hundreds of upgraded t55s to equip the fc. The excuse was that its a lighter tank and the best stuff should be saved for the eastern sector 🤣

Tbh our FC boys have sacraficed so much and this line of thinking from the army is extemely disgraceful. As if lahore and islamabad dha’s are so much more valuable in money and blood than waziristan peshawer or quetta. All of which should be top priority for army leadership.

That is the point you jahil. We are not even giving FC boys a few dozen of our best tanks!

Duffers sitting in GHQ are not known to adapt or learn anything from precedence, they will keep using these tanks with worst strategies than even the Russians. They still think they will use the tanks against Rommel's Panzers and Tigers in North Africa on behalf of their noble colonial masters.

Judging from history pakistani army actually employed their tanks pretty well in all there wars including the most recent battles against the ttp where alzarrar was employed heavily. In all the wars extensive use of infantry was employed either along with tanks or ahead or tanks.

Compared to russian employment in afghanistan, chechnya, and now ukraine. Pak has a much much record 10-1 at minimum.

How long till these programs shutdown

We’re on verge of bankruptcy, gas loadshedding has gone crazy in low-income and poor areas of country
Gas shortages or being diverted to politicians/generals only
Roti khaogay to kuch ker paoge….stove he band hogya to kya faida defense ka

I have seen footage of Al Zarrar beating hasty retreats in FATA when coming under small arms fire...

And I have seen a Pakistani tank take out an enemy's post on top of a mountain with a single fire.
Since all the armchair Generals have gathered here, perhaps they should first find out if our immediate enemy has deployed flying saucers and Martian technology on the borders to render our armour useless.

more money for these generals DHA and golf clubs
Even if it were true then kindly enlighten us, is the DHA or Golf Clubs based in Dubai or London or they are still in Pakistan.

Oh.. I meant with armour corp. Like in on tank formation, AGM units (we have) and air defence unit, armed additionally with Oerlikons. We hv air defence units armed with Anza A2A shoulder fire missiles. Not good for small drones. Perhaps, Jammers too.
