Laser guns will be the standart equipment of naval ships in near future.

With current technologic level, If 1,25kw laser gun is able to penatrate 22mm naval ship armours within a few seconds from 500m away, Imagine 20kw, 100kw and more powerfull laser guns and their effectiveness in near future.

The only major difference between these and turkish ships will likely be the weapons. The US isnt going to release RAM and i highly doubt PN wants to use Harpoon on these (they are probably ending the shelf life and are inferior to the missiles PN has available to it). The AShM is almost certain to Harbah. The air defense system is up in the air.

1. They could pull a phalanx off the retiring type-21s, or use another CIWS (Type 730/1130, AK630, ect), but that is not very confidence inspiring. The type 730/1130 can be equioed with 6 HQ-10/FL-3000N missiles.

2.They could use FL-3000N which would make a reasonable replacement for RAM.

3.Use the Pantsir-ME which uses the dual 30mm gatling guns from Kashtan, and intergates 8 Pantsir-57E6-E missiles (20km range). This would be the way i would go.
One AAW option could be the Crotale Naval Mk3. It's pedestal-based (i.e. above deck) and its VT1 missile has a range of 15 km, which is decent SHORAD coverage. In fact, the VT1 also has a velocity of Mach 3.5+, so it has value as a PDMS too.

Turkey is earnings billions from Pakistan in defence deals.
Simply no. Our Pakistani brothers are acquiring the ability they can not buy with money.

We do not sell ships. We have opened a military ship program that we have been working on for 15 years to our Pakistani brothers with full rights. Turkey has spent billions and billions of dollars so far covered Milgem program. (all engineering and design activities, sub-system localization, protatip, and many years of navigational activities) Pakistan has acquired not only 2 ships but also this accumulation.

Moreover, depending on the economic difficulties that Pakistan has faced, we have been as flexible as possible in solving the financing of the project. If you are looking at these issues with just money indexing, you should buy all logistics infrastructure of your entire army from China.

But Turkey and Pakistan, has been working on much more strategic subjects . Agosta Slcm submarines and Milgem just a start . Aviation will follow these. The military integration of the two countries will enable us to defend our national interests together more strongly.

People just don't get it with their narrow minded thinking. Pakistan - Turkey relationship is not one dimensional but is multi-dimensional, and due to some recent Geo-strategic developments this relationship has become critically important to both countries. This military relationship will multiply at a very fast pace, and there will be much more sharing of technology between the two. Old and New enemies have emerged which threaten both countries. They need to work together to crush them. These two are the only ones in the region capable enough to take on these enemies.

There is no 'ToT' involved. This deal is like any other deal... like F-22P.. where KSEW will just assemble the ships from kits supplied by the OEM.

The scope of KSEW's work can be judged from the fact that they are even assembling tugs with kits supplied by Damen. There is no design and manufacturing work, only assembly.

PN released RFP for an ASW corvette (without VLS). Turkey offered the Ada-class.The total cost was pegged at USD 1.2 billion, however since PN could recycle some equipment from Type 21's (RGM-84L Harpoon Block II) and acquire Harbah & possibly FL-3000N,etc from Pakistani and Chinese industry, the final price dropped to around USD 1 billion.

The competitors were never really in the equation as the Turks offered a loan of USD 400 million.

Nevertheless, the Milgem's along with Type 054A's and F-22P's will transform PN's surface fleet. 25th Destroyer Squadron's roles of ASuW/ASW (three ships) and AAW (some sort of with LY-60 on the other three) will be split up: with the Ada providing ASW/ASuW and Type 054A acting as the AAW asset with 32-cell VLS (for LY-80N) plus ASuW/ASW.

Since the Ada's are expected to accommodate Sea Kings, which have been upgraded with Leonardo Seaspray 5300 AESA radars, AM-39 Exocet should be replaced with a long range anti-ship missile as well.

Dude while you develop this and look towards china and russia for LR-SAMs like S-400s and Chinese HQ Series (operated by Pak, along with Med ranged SAMs like SPADA ‎Aspide 2000).

Dude Turkey is also buying russian s400 because we need it urgently.I mean yes we have our own long range air defence projects but it will be ready in 2023.We cant wait until 2023.there is war everywhere around us.

Bro There is no difference between you and us.Pakistan is also in middle of war.You should diversify not just air defence systems but all of your weapons.

involvement of Maritime Technology Complex (MTC) in this deal suggest that this deal is modelled more like Azmat class FAC deal; we can expect some modifications in cooperation with Turkey after second or third corvette which will be build in Pakistan.

But I agree no TOT deal will prove to be an alternative for the core technologies there is no other way to achieve these without investing in indigenous R&D and in local human resource.

Unless pn plan to order more down the road say another 4 past the last two it’s not much worth except local support and service/rebuilt

Agosta 90 were local licence plus could be sold to others but pak was unable to sell any to others they did tried Malaysia and few other countries but again French were also offering and they went with their offering Scorpio
