With a price of 200,000 dollars per hull purchased from Oshkosh, they will be produced and delivered to Israel in the next 18 months, and will be fitted with all needed systems in Israel.

This will provide a major fire boost to the Israeli infantry forces, in addition to the ~400 Namer vehicles Israel has.

Eitan IFV will be fitted with 2 Spike missiles/suicide drones, a 30mm autocannon and an Iron Fist APS on a remotely controlled turret.

The APC variant will have a remotely controlled 12.7mm heavy machinegun and an Iron Fist APS.

What advantages does it offer that the Namer doesn't... or that Israel's innovative domestic defense industry can't build/integrate?

Neat piece of kit, btw.

Way cheaper (Around half the price) , can drive on the very developed Israeli road system without any trucks carrying it, and very quickly get across Israel as a result from front to front.

Way less intensive maintenance (No tracks) and way more off the shelf parts that make repairs and maintenance quick and cheap.

Iron Fist has a minor advantage over the Trophy on the Namer, it can intercept APFSDS shells, not that it's much of a threat for Israel.

However Namer vehicles are still WAY more armored than even the best protected MBTs, let alone the Eitan. Namer survived a 500kg IED and the whole house next to it falling onto it as if nothing happened.

Didn't get this part.

Didn't get this part.

Everything makes sense.

The part you didn't get meant to ask: can't just Israel build something like that itself, given its advanced defense production/innovation industry locally?
