and allow the Officers Corps to be free thinkers as they are the brains and the syllabus needs to be updated and more Think Tanks need to be funded to research past failures and stimulate new strategies. The study of past failures should also encompass historical battles that took place and how to avoid those mistakes, as the concept of infantry stays the same.

The tradition has been carried on ever since -- yes it generates disciplined soldiers and officers, but the British modeled is a gulami pumping school. But their should be a separation between the two; discipline the soldiers (infantry & Co.),

I didn't want to derail the JF-17 thread any more than it was last night -- but the other issue with PMA is the model is based on British India style of teaching where the school creates controlled officers rather than thinkers in their field.
