@Akheilos, I have been on the Falkirk Wheel, it's considered a marvel of engineering, how your boat is lifted from the bottom waterways into the upper canal, then you are taken for a short boat ride before returning and going through the same process.
However the funny part is in case of emergency, how before every journey you are given instructions by a safety officer like an air steward before a flight..... all because you are travelling in three feet of water.
