Working in FBI is good?!

So i am Indian and live in USA. i will finish my high school here and than i am thinking to pursue my career either in IT or accounting and than join FBI.
i know it's not easy to go in FBI, but i want to join for FBI.

I was thinking, is it good idea, to join FBI as i am Indian?

I don't want to be like specials agent who go outside and catch criminals, but you know, like become IT guy or accountant guy.

what do you think, guys?

The FBI is a good employer. It has regular promotions and raises via civil service-like procedures. However, it is a very big organization and has the kind of politics found in big organizations for advancement into the highest ranks. That is, often it is who you know and who knows you that makes the difference for getting the highest level promotions. It has branches all over the USA so there are opportunities to work in many US cities. If you want to work in the Washington DC area and don't want to be a field agent you might also consider the National Security Agency (NSA). They are the ones who manage electronic data intelligence. They have lots of technical jobs. If you are fluent in a South Asian language they would see that as a plus.

It is good to gain work experience. But if you think you are good with IT, then you might consider joining the FBI only on temporary basis.
Reason: It is notorious for paying its employees below the norm ~50K-60K

On the contrary, if you try the CIA, they may offer you really handsome salary depending on the level of your skills and IQ. Recently, many have been known to walk out of the Wall Street to join the CIA ~ 80K-90K
