Judging from your writing abilities, it appears that you need to educate yourself.

My advice is that if you get a chance to go to UK for education, proceed to UK without hesitation.

I seriously doubt that considering your educational background you can get into PMA Kakul or any other Military Academy.

As a guy who also had those patriot dreams before. Mate, I suggest you not to join the army or any other service branch. As of course it's all up to you :) but think about it, seriously.

I joined up before 9/11....Many people think I am crazy, even myself, I spend 7.5 years in the army, and I spend another 4 trying to kill myself, so you be the judge....

Pre-9/11 must have been calm I believe if you didn't have any centcom tours, I wonder. The other four must have been the real killer..too much sh.it happening. war, KIAs..etc.

Let's hope no other nation will face such an attack with such consequences.

Pre-9/11 is a different world, we have no enemy (well, at least we thought like that back then) and the most patriotic duty a soldier can get is to accompanied the CO to get drunk on a Saturday night ....

One need to imagine going from an environment like that to going in all gun blazing in the middle east is quite some change.

It happen. before the attack the world was in a mediation for like 10 years beginning with the fall of USSR. I mean, we always had to have a big fight against a big enemy. It's just different perceptions and targets. It was the commies before and now its Al-Qaeda and ISIS terrorism simply. There's always somebody to fight against in such a manner. In fact that's what keeps us from WW3

lol damn straight, if we don't go around and stir trouble, we would release it so to anybody, so better pick on someone smaller than starting a war that can never be foreseeable.

Going back to the topic, I agree very much on what you say, if you are driven by patriotism only, it's better for you NOT To join the armed force. People don't know this, but nationalism in war can only get you so far, I would personally move down the line if I was standing next to Captain America, I need people who are willing to die for each other, not willing to die for their country. You probably know what I meant.

And why you aren't comment on my thread about Special Force?
