What Would Happen if EVERYONE Were a GENIUS

.
World would be a much duller humourless place :P

Also if normal distribution stays...the genius threshold just gets shifted with it :P

Less funding for war more funding for lfe extension and efficient renewable energy solution :D

Yep what is considered super intelligent now would be considered average in that time period but even with super intelligence of today,s level in that setting we may reap benefits of it through change in social and political attitudes :D

The population of the world would be much smaller.

I believe humor is a trait of intelligence.

Yah but there would be much fewer things to laugh at.

We will find new problems with great costs, trust me lol. Because we know what our current equilibrium more or less is with current environment of intelligence spread....doesn't mean we know what another equilibrium's situation will be because we simply have to be there to judge for ourselves and let the imperfections and time play out.

When I was a kid, moving to Singapore from Hong Kong seemed like awesome heaven in so many ways (because of all the thing I saw thats wrong in HK and much better in Singapore). Then when you live in Singapore for a while, you see what set of problems it has lol (and HK nostalgia sets in etc).

There definitely will be much less of the extreme poverty at least and anything else that falls under thresholds per se. Inequality will remain, probably at same overall ratio, but the inequality will not be spread into the lowest rungs of existence at least.

But all this is hypothetical. I would rather we all focus on addressing the problems in a non-ideal intelligence spread world...so we may all gain and accumulate as much intelligence and more importantly wisdom among our populations as possible over time. The human capital still going to waste even with say a lower measured IQ level (argued potential even) of any population is simply atrocious, because of the terrible state of education at pretty much every level (and the real powers that be that want to keep it that way).

The world would be a boring place, all equal dumb.

Can still have intelligence spread and everyone be a genius in todays terms. Basically the normal distribution of intelligence (and markers like IQ) get shifted to the right till its fully to the right of say genius level today. There would technically be the same amount of measured variation we have today given the same spread pattern.

I do agree with you partially we wont have a Utopian world if everyone is a genius but it will be slightly better than the one we have today
I am slightly optimistic that they are less likely to resort to violence over petty things(as cavemen ate babies of rivals we dont) and are more likely to take better care of their environment (of course they will set higher standards for themselves and what we consider good would be average in that scenario)

Inequality will never go away it will continue to exist but the level of it may decrease as more solution will be sought to increase food production in not so productive developing nations and their productivity and economy will improve which will sharply reduce the extreme poor of the world

Absolutely an effective educational system is what we need all over the globe Scandanavians arent super humans they have a good educational system that is one of the reason why they are ranked highest in list of most innovative countries
