The only reason is because many Chinese still don't have internet access and those who don't have it will have to take it back to the dealers...otherwise like an apple iPhone it is a normal over-the-air software update.

Those Chinese that don't have internet access will of course unfortunately have to go all the way back to their dealers to get their software update. That's the inconvenience you are highlighting when living in a developing country.
