We Went Inside the Largest Nuclear Fusion Reactor

Gee Whiz!!!!!!.

This is something beyond my league. My knowledge being decades old ( I finished my Masters in Chem. Eng'g in 1967), At that time even to find construction materials, mostly Ceramics that could withstand temperatures about 10,000 Dec C was an arduous task. Here the temperatures inside the core could reach a million degrees!!. I wish that the project succeeds.

Even though 'Material Science' has progress rapidly during the last 50 years; due to the high temperatures and the enormous energy required to achieve nuclear fusion I am not convinced that a controlled 'Fusion Reaction' is a viable proposition. I hope that I am wrong.
