Want good diplomatic ties with India: Taliban

AKIPRESS.COM - The Taliban regime in Kabul on Thursday said that India was an important country in the region and it wants to maintain good diplomatic ties with them. It said the first Delhi Regional Security Dialogue on Afghanistan convened by India on November 10 was in its better interest.

Taliban Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid assured that as per the "policy of Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan", its land will not be used against any country and that the Taliban wants mutual cooperation.

“Though we were not present in this conference, we firmly believe that this conference is in the better interest of Afghanistan as the entire region is considerate of the current Afghan situation and the participating countries also must be thoughtful of improving and safeguarding the security situation in Afghanistan and helping the current government to ensure security in the country on its own,” said Mujahid.

He added, “we are optimistic, because the whole region needs stability and security in Afghanistan, that the meetings pave the way to understanding, and they are hopefully in the benefit of Afghanistan.” He expressed hope the outcome will be “utilised and implemented”.

The Taliban claimed that they have already fulfilled all the demands mentioned during the conference on Afghanistan, news agencies quoted TOLO News as saying.

On Wednesday, India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval chaired a meeting of Secretaries of Security Councils of eight countries, where the participants discussed "the evolving situation in Afghanistan, especially the security situation and its regional and global ramifications".

In a joint declaration issued after the conference, the eight nations said the Taliban-led country's territory should not be used for sheltering, training, planning or financing terrorism. Eight countries, including India, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan attended the high-level meeting in New Delhi. Pakistan and China, two Asian countries with high stakes in Afghanistan, however, skipped the dialogue.
The participants expressed deep concern over the suffering of the people of Afghanistan arising from the security situation and condemned recent attacks by terrorists. The nations also stressed on the need to form an inclusive government that "represents the will of all the people of Afghanistan and has representation from all sections of their society, including major ethno-political forces in the country." The NSAs/Secretaries of the Security Councils said the fundamental rights of women, children and minority communities must not be violated in the country.

A day after the conference, the Indian government said while it is committed to providing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan, the situation on the ground remained difficult because of a lack of unimpeded access for aid to the country.

India is still awaiting Pakistan's approval for transporting wheat to Afghanistan by road.

“India’s support to the people of Afghanistan is very clear. We have been extending support over many years to all the people of Afghanistan. The situation on the ground has become very difficult over the last few months,” said Indian government.

love indian u turns....

I had warned people about over glee when these Taliban took over Afghanistan. Afghans generally are very hostile to Pakistan and now there is an increased frequency of attacks from Afghanistan. India is making economic ovdertures like wheat supply etc. The US cowards have left behind enough weapons to support terrorism for decades and there are already 40-50 million uneasy Pashtuns on both sides of the Durand line. There is good analysis on Mideast eye, I will post as thread.

India has no intention of using Afghanistan against others

Indians need to man up and stop posting such self-assuring nonsensical news every couple of days as if the Taliban don't have a score to settle with anti-Muslim India.

Hey clown. You used to cheer for Amarullah Saleh and General Raziq and Tadin Khan?

Where are they now???
What matters is Tadin Khan and Amrullah Saleh are safe and secure and will return back to their country as leading figures when the tide changes.

That can only happen if some foreign power again invades Afghanistan and kicks out Taliban out of Kabul. And that is not going to happen anytime soon or for years to come

You can enjoy defeat till then. Nothing new for India though when it comes to Afghanistan

Ofcourse they want. The problem is for India. How to accept a hardline Islamic government, and what signal would it send to the bjp voters, and to the kashmir liberation movement?

The dilemma of india is that the foreign policy of India is no longer a domain of its foreign office. The hindutva voters are now driving it directly and it isn't making the job of its foreign office any easier.

"policy of Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan" =
Chu*iya banao policy
95% energy & resources go wasted in doing bakwas future forecasting.. atleast do something for people
Ye saale sab Taliban 5 years bad Ferrari lekar Dubai ghumenge aur logo ko Islam ka chuna laga denge

Afghanistan have lots of anti pakistan elements. Pakistan need to keep an eye and do what benefits the country.

Do you lack a brain cell or something try to read the situation.. This is called diplomatic kindness and being polite nothing more or less but the low indian intellectually media has been taking it like the bible... Try to read what @lonelyman replied he understood it first time he open article..

Where have you seen a real diplomat saying fuk that country ever? No diplomat will ever belittle another country this is not part of the norm nor the behavourial conduct in the diplomatic world
