Violence claims six more lives in Karachi

KARACHI, (SANA): At least six people have been shot dead in incidents of violence in different parts of Karachi here on Friday.

On the other hand Rangers’ cordoned off the house of Sunni Tehreek leader Sarwat Aijaz Qadri but he was not present at his house, whereas 35 suspects have taken into custody including two leaders Shahid Ghauri, Mubeen Qadri and 14 workers of Sunni Tehrik from different areas of city. Three pistols have been recovered from workers of Sunni Tehrik.

According to police, three dead bodies have been recovered from Tomber market, Sarjani Town and Pak colony who were shot dead, adding that an unidentified body of a youth was recovered from MC Workshop area of Old Golimar. Police said that the deceased was killed after abduction.

In another incident in Mangho Pir area, some unidentified motorcyclists shot dead a man, Noor Ali, when he was standing outside his house.

In yet another incident near Landhi Dadu Chorangi, dacoits opened fire and killed a man named Falak Naz and injured Fazal on resisting a dacoity bid to loot a coach.

In Gulberg, Samanabad area some unidentified persons opened fire to force shops closure in the locality. A worker of a religious party,
Zaheer Qureshi was killed due to firing by the culprits. Panic and tension gripped the area after the incident and markets were closed down.

Meanwhile, some unidentified persons torched a bus in Bilal Colony area of Korangi. Rangers’ and police were deployed in the troubled areas after the new wave of violence.

Two dead bodies were found from Napier Road and Sarjani Town the victims were tortured to death. Their identities could not be determined yet.
