NEW DELHI: World number one Vijender Singh (75kg) of India outpunched England's Frank Buglioni 12-3 to claim the gold medal in the fifth Commonwealth Boxing Championships on Wednesday.
Earlier, Olympic and World Championship bronze-medallist Vijender Singh downed Tanzania's Selemani Kidunda 10-1 in the semi-final.
The semis contest was stopped in the third round after Vijender's powerful right punch injured the Tanzanian, prompting the referee to stop contest.
