Vestel Defense is working since 2005 to this day on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and acquired in-depth knowledge and experience. VESTEL has the ability to design an UAV System for given requirements, and able to produce and test this System.

Design

VESTEL works on four different areas. System design capabilities allows Vestel to design a system with unmanned aerial vehicles, aircraft, ground stations, transceivers, peripherals, along with logistics.

Aircraft design is responsible for developing a platform with desired performance, carry the selected payload for required endurance. Designing activities of such a platform include using computer simulations and iteratively redesign for the best performance and producing all necessary documents for the user. During the development necessary standards are used as a reference point.

Avionics design is divided into two, electronics and software design. Designing the avionics, which are essential to perform the mission of the aircraft, are developed. Both hardware and software developed separately and integrated as one. During the development necessary standards are used as a reference point.

Ground systems design is mainly focuses on development all the equipment required to support the aircraft from ground during its mission. These includes control panels, shelter, data links, and other equipment necessary for handling. During the development necessary standards are used as a reference point.

Production

Vestel Defense Industry has the infrastructure to produce their aircrafts, avionics and ground systems. Using design documents all structural parts of aircraft are produced from composite and assembled. Some of the avionics and ground system components are acquired from sub contractors and Vestel performs the system integration. Air vehicles, avionics and ground systems are produced and proceed to testing.

Test

Vestel Defense Industry is able to test each of the elements in the system, aircrafts, avionics and ground systems separately. Examples of the structural parts of aircraft are manufactured and tested in the design stage. Once the fuselage is completed the structural integrity of aircraft is confirmed with structural tests. Avionics developed by Vestel are tested first on the laboratory, and then in a test aircraft until it reaches maturity. After integrating all sub-systems as one system, flight tests are performed and all functions of the system components are checked and evaluated their performance. All tests are carried out by VESTEL.

Karayel UAV System

Karayel UAV System is an unmanned air vehicle system designed and manufactured by Vestel for the purpose of aerial observation. Karayel has the ability to perform the task entirely on its own without an assistance on an onboard pilot. Critical components of the system, the aircraft and avionics, are completely developed by VESTEL.

Karayel Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System, a reconnaissance and surveillance system, was developed in 2007 and began test flights in 2009. Remote sensing systems on board are able to detect a target and mark for laser-guided munitions. All phases of the flight, take-off, landing and flight profile are performed autonomously. Critical compnents such as autonomous systems and airframe are designed and manufactured by Vestel. Karayel System has been developed as a reliable system in terms of flight safety and aviation regulations will be released in the coming years are compatible. Payload bay is configurable for the military and civilian applications.

EFE System and all the sub-units are designed by VESTEL . EFE autopilot have been developed as part of the VESTEL autopilot family and incorporates many features of larger systems.

All structural parts in the aircraft are produced by VESTEL and all sub-components can be replaced without the need for any adjustment.

BORA

BORA Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System is developed and tested by VESTEL in 2010 as a training aircraft. BORA System has a better performance then its competitors in his class by providing high-altitude, long endurance and redundant avionics and it has flexible avionics and payload configuration. This features makes Bora a perfect candidate for flight testing of developed products in the field of aviation.

BORA can be easily assembled and disassembled on the field, it gives the feature of easy handling and use.

BORA System and all sub-units are designed by VESTEL. BORA autopilot have been developed as part of the VESTEL autopilot family and it can use all communication channels and has the ability to communicate with avionics software libraries to be tested.

All structural parts in the aircraft are produced by VESTEL and all sub-components can be replaced without the need for any adjustment.
