US says Pakistan has suffered gravely from terrorism

To say the least, we cannot over emphasize Pakistan’s importance in the region. We have always said that we cannot have a stable region without a stable Pakistan. We greatly appreciate all of Pakistan’s sacrifices in our decade long struggle against insurgency. Our common sacrifices prove our stance against terrorism. Pakistan in particular continues to pay the highest price for countering insurgency. Extremist organizations like the TTP have been wreaking havoc upon the nation. Thousands of innocent people have fallen victims to their atrocities. Unfortunately, there are some who continue to let these terrorists off the hook by indulging in conspiracy theories. On the other hand, the terrorists remain fully focused on pursuing their deadly agenda in the region. The seriousness of the situation requires everyone to support their government and refrain from indulging in conspiracy theories. We are working closely with the government of Pakistan in regards to our peace objectives. We stand by the government of Pakistan during this difficult phase, and hope to continue our partnership for the betterment of the region.
