BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:00 P.M.) – Mohsen Rezai, secretary of the Expediency Council for the Diagnosis of the Systems in Iran, said that sending the fleet of fuel tankers to Venezuela was “a great act in which American threats were defied.”

Rezai said in his speech, today, during a meeting of the Supreme Council of Provinces: “The issue included fraternal solidarity as well as the economic aspect, because before the arrival of our tankers to Venezuela we had received their sums,” according to the Iranian News Agency, Fars.

He continued: “This procedure was a great act. When our tankers were in the middle of the journey, some of them called at home to return them to the country because the issue of war was possible, but the administration of the country sent the Revolutionary Guard cadres to fly over the American warships so that they knew we were not idle.”

Rezaei revealed that the Americans “offered sums to the captains of our tankers to change their course, but these brazen offers were rejected by our dear ones and our tankers arrived in Venezuela.”

LOL! If they ever flew over what could they possibly be doing...using harsh language or something? I'm sure if this happened Iran would be showing the video by now...over and over and over.

I think only a picture like this on the walls of the bridge would be sufficient enough.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Washington threatens, bribes, blackmails, sanctions, and steals their way to ruin any competition.

Before the Iraq War, the US press asked the white house press secretary whether rumors were true that Bush was bribing various countries to be part of the coalition to attack Iraq over phantom WMDs. The press secretary said something like you think our allies would be bribed into joining the Iraq War, that they would take a bribe, that belittles our relationships with other countries. And the answer was so badly given, that the press laughed him out of the room for they knew from reports that Bush was bribing countries to be part of the coalition to attack Iraq.

US has been bribing, it is one of the first things the US does when they can't get their way, then they threaten, like the PM of Iraq was threatened with death if he allowed China to rebuild Iraq and become close to China.

These are well known tactics the media does not let out too often.
