The UK sikh community is all set to get a seperate box to tick their ethnicity for the 2021 UK census. They no longer have to tick "indian" but have the option of ticking "Sikh". In the 2011 UK census, 83,000 sikhs refrained from ticking the "indian" box and instead ticked "Asian Other" and wrote "sikh".

There is a big anti india sikh demo planned on 12th August I think

As Hindutva rises in india even Sikhs have understood the mistake they made not reaching out to Jinnah

interesting. although the Common Sikh in the UK is not interested in such issues. As far as I know!

LONDON: The UK government has no plans to ban a demonstration planned by a pro-Khalistan group here as long as it is "within the law" and remains non-violent, a senior government official said on Friday.

The statement came after the Indian authorities had issued a demarche to the British government to take steps against a rally planned at

Trafalgar Square
on August 12

When I was younger the Sikhs used to identify as Indian and I used to rip them about 1984
Now they and their kids hate india:lol:

They should have an option to tick Khalistan, though it does not yet exist on the map, but it has all the major ingredients necessary to become an independent country i.e. land (Indian Punajb and some other surrounding areas currently in India) a proud Sikh nation with a long history and two great neighbouring countries China and Pakistan

At least 83,000 british sikhs who refused to call themselves or self-identify as indians DO CARE:

@Kaptaan Even at least 83,000 British sikhs refuse to be called indian. They don't want to be identified as gangalanders.......

That is a big SLAP in the face of certain liberals who claim that ALL Pakistanis, indians, bengalis etc are all the SAME "Desi" people........:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

In my experiance with Sikhs they feel more pride in being 'Sikh' then Indian. And Khalistan movement is evident in UK. Sikhs are whatever we might say "Indus people". They fall within the Indus basin. They are not Gangadeshi.

Again who tf cares? They are Sikh with British passports. That's so small compared to 21 million Sikhs in India. :lol:That 83k can piss off somewhere.
