U.S. special envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan to visit China

BEIJING, April 14 (Xinhua) -- U.S. special envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Holbrooke will visit China from April 15 to 16, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu announced here Tuesday at a regular press conference.

Jiang said that China and the United States were discussing the detailed schedule of Holbrooke's visit.

Holbrooke, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, was named in January this year by U.S. President Barack Obama as a special envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Ok...OK So why you are shouting about it . IF it is that

strong , there is no need to worry:coffee:

There would be a bit prblem this time cuz the chinese attitude is not good............ They havent favoured us in UN and then they said that their own wanted militants are in Pakistan and operating from Pakistan....... hope that it would get better

See china's stand is quite simple, it never bows down as far as its countires intrest is concerned, then it can be against any country. Just because US envoy Holbrooke's is visiting china its not going to effect China and Pakistan relationship as china is not a country who would fall for these things.

Who said they haven't favored us at the UN? Check your facts again, China went along with the UN resolutions only after Pakistan did so. So If Pakistan was not having any problem with JUD being declared a ban out fit, why would China have.

You are right China isn't going to fall for it. They know where there interest lies and where the US. US after getting a tougher response from Pakistan which by the way took them by a surprise is now trying different tactics to exert pressure over Pakistan to do more or perhaps let join US/NATO operations in Pakistani tribal areas.
