U.S could have secured the Pak-Afg border instead of wasting trillions for regional stability?

both Afghanistan, Pakistan keep on blaming to each other on cross border militancy. and U.S wasted trillion dollars for stability in Afghanistan.. instead U.S should have considered to secure the border in 16 years by her own money just like U.S spent trillions in Afghanistan but failed. and now if U.S is not willing to secure border then result will be the same..

Taliban are not going from Pakistan. Afghanistan security doesn't depend on Pakistan. To secure border Pak needed to deploy army on permanent basis and get rid of FATA by converting agencies in to districts and merging them with KP. Which is being done now.
