American stand-up comedian Jeremy McLellan on Saturday has shot down attackers on Twitter who mocked his claims on atrocities committed in Indian-held Kashmir stating that his opinion is ‘paid-off’ by Pakistan.
McLellan has been vocal in lambasting the ongoing violence in Kashmir doubling down on his support for the Kashmiri people’s cause.
When trolls accused him of being on Pakistan’s payroll he hit back by saying Indians: Please stop spreading rumors that I’m paid by Pakistan to tweet about Kashmir. My wife keeps asking where the money is and it’s ruining our marriage.
McLellan has not only spoken out against New Delhi in Indian held Kashmir but also the other marginalised groups all over the world as well.
He had retweeted a post by a student in Indian-held Kashmir in which the student claimed that Indian forces locked them inside their school and when they began to chant pro-freedom slogans tear gas was fired at them.
He then tweeted that today is Kashmir Solidarity Day in support of occupied Kashmir against Indian state terrorism.

Today is #KashmirSolidarityDay in support of occupied Kashmir against Indian state terrorism. Students in Srinagar are brutalized for protesting the recent killings. Whether Palestine, Syria, Burma, Kashmir, or anywhere else, people have a right to be free from state tyranny.
