"Ahtapot" is the specific program name to describe development of several Turkish unmanned naval assets to protect shore bases, coastal waters, detection-destruction of naval mines, security of ports...etc
Under this program, Aselsan is working on development for following systems;
-KASIF Tethered Aerial Observation System
General Specifications
Kaşif mosaics frames of terrain captured from high altitude and constructs a panoramic image for whole picture of area under investigation. The system segments, recognizes, identifies and tracks the targets on this panoramic image which are either determined automatically or by the operator manually.
-Denizci Unmanned Surface Vehicle
General Specifications:
- Three modes of operation: on-board, tele-operation and autonomous.
- Day/night observation and reconnaissance with automatic human detection and optional automatic tracking.
- Advanced Navigation
- Secure communication link for data and video transmission.
- JAUS (Joint Architecture for Unmanned Systems) compatibility
-AUTONOMOUS UNDERWATER VEHICLE (AUV)
