Pakistan capable to manufacture all kinds of drones: Navy officials
ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Engineers have shown amazing performance and made AWACS aircraft, affected in Kamra attack, in half of the estimated cost, while Al-Khalid III has entered into last phase of preparations, whereas Turkey has sought help from Pakistan to manufacture fighter planes.

Lieutinent General Retired Abdul Qayyum chaired Senate Standing Committee for defence production. Committee was told in briefing that Pakistani Engineers have restored AWACS aircraft in a shorter period of 10 months locally. The aircraft was damaged in Kamra Air Base attack, while United States had estimated 30 million dollars for the restoration of aircraft, hence the aircraft has been made operation after spending 15 million dollars.

Committee was told that Al-Khalid III is in last phase of preparations. Committee was also briefed regarding preparations of JF-17 Thunder, saying that any kind of war weapon of any fighter jet can be used in JF-17 Thunder. Pakistan can manufacture 58 percent parts of JF-17 Thunder by itself.

Given how advance Turkish industry is, it will be an invitation to join the program. And I'm totally for it.

TAI TFX??

Financial help? Pakistan should invest in it

Pakistan would have J-31 as it next gen platform - and that is already flying and completely owned by China. Will Pakistan be looking for yet another 5th Gen platform in 15 years from now? I don't think so. Because of using J-31, it may have usage experience but neither it was part of J-31s development nor it has contributed to development. If Pakistan opts in, that will be collective research for the most part instead of research for the purpose of procurement.

On personal note, Pakistan will be happy to be a partner with Turkey on any project - at all!

seems like the Turks are indifferent to what the Indian posters think of our JF-17 and Drone program. anyway its a welcome news and some formal partnership should be signed which is long term with exchange of excerpts and technicians and sharing resources and R&D outcomes

If true we should help them . We are already making our own aircrafts and this will help us greatly maybe in future we will create our own aircrafts and rely less on buying
